Lovely facilities in chic part of Maastricht. The room was lovely and well heated for a February stay. Breakfast was good and I loved the victorian style decor. I guess the rooms would benefit from air conditioning as I have stayed in 1 star rooms and had air-conditioning. Looking at other reviews it appears to be a theme. However my...

The hotel is extremely well located for easy access to both sides of the Maas and their diverse shops and restaurants. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Don't stay here!!! Three reasons why; 1. The smell. As soon as we were let into our room there was a stench like this place had not been aired out in years. I'm not sure if the smell went away when the windows were open, or if my nostrils just got used to the smell. 2. The spiders. Right when...

We arrived on a hot summer day in July and were shown to a top floor room which was extremely hot. The gentleman switched the fan on and advised us to keep the curtains shut to keep the room cool, and implied the windows didn't open. We then found the safe was faulty and reported it. We paid for a Superior Double room and were given a very small, hot room on the 3rd floor. There was no air con and no lift.
