Nice hotel room, good size, clean, in-room safe, kettle with tea and coffee, great location near Eindhoven Centraal and the main shopping area with lots of restaurants nearby. The hotel is a bit noisy, with traffic from the outside and you can hear water running from the rooms next door, but bring your earplugs and you will sleep fine. The bed is huge, and very comfy, with adjustable heating/air-con in the room.
Breakfast is available till 11.45am, which is nice if you want to have a lie-in, but need to book a 30 minutes slot beforehand. 30 minutes was a bit rushed for me, and I would have preferred a more relaxed experience, but it is fine for now due to covid restrictions. There was a mix up with my booked time, and I arrived too early, but they let me sit at an empty table anyway, which was appreciated as I had to leave to make my reservation at a museum. Breakfast food was ok, small range of hot food and cold food, hot drinks, juices, yoghurts, all the usual. It was tasty, and it felt very safe and clear with one way systems, not too busy, and hand gel available.
I would stay here again if there was a special deal like I got this time.

I visited Eindhoven with my wife last month as we enjoy visiting Netherlands and wanted to see somewhere away from the madness of Amsterdam. We really enjoyed our stay and would absolutely stay here the next time we visit Eindhoven.
Although the hotel entrance is a bit hidden by the cafe next door I had done my research so managed to avoid any trouble finding it. The young lad on reception was pleasant enough and the hotel placed us in a room close to the lift which was something requested because of my wife's health condition.
The rooms were absolutely fine, some rather cool pictures adorned the walls and we had a wonderful view over the shops and restaurants in the centre of the city. The location was excellent and just a few minutes walk from the bus station.
Breakfast had continental options as well as the European style bacon and eggs. It was adequate enough to set us up for the morning so no complaints from me.
The beds were very comfortable and the room was cleaned to a decent standard. I did find the irony of somebody using the "no drugs" card to contribute towards their experience of how liberal things can be in the Netherlands.
If you're looking at this and aren't entirely sure; you'll get a well located hotel with a warm welcome and a comfortable bed. For what the cost is it's absolutely value for money. We look forward to seeing you all again.

Our family of four went to the Dutch Design Week. I booked a family room based on the shown picture of two double beds, the included breakfast and the location. By arrival our room wasn't ready. We left our luggage and went to the Design Week. When we came back the room we were put in did not have two double beds but a double bed and a small sleeping couch which was not made. We have two sons who are 1.85m in height. They did not fit in on the sleeping couch. It apparantly said in on the website that chances were you would get the room with the sleeping couch. But they only showed the picture of the room with the two double beds. Very dissapointing.
They put an additional single (very old and cranky) bed in the room. Which didn't really fit into it. When we finally made peace with the whole situation we were kept up all night because of toiltet sounds and shower sounds of the people in the rooms above us. As we were on the first floor you can imagine. So next day we were exhausted when visiting the Dutch Design Week.

The manager was quite rude when I tried to call the reception from the room. I couldn’t find the reception's phone number in the room and called the only number that was in the dial that made sense and apparently was a wrong number. The manager answered rudely and didn't even give me the right number.
I also had another unfortunate episode within the hotel. The first day I parked my car in their parking lot, checked in and nobody said I had to pay for the parking lot in advance. In the second day I used my car and when I got back I had lost my spot. I told them I'd parked the day before but they said I hadn't paid for the parking lot and therefore I should park in somewhere else. I knew I had to pay for it, but I thought I could pay when checking out like every other hotel that I stayed. They should've informed me I had to pay at the moment of my checking and because of that I had to park minutes away from the Hotel, very unpleasant from their side!
One good thing I'd like to highlight is the two ladies from the restaurant. They are lovely and we had great fun talking to them while they were preparing our breakfast. The food was also really good.

Stayed here for 4 nights as part of an organised tour. In my opinion, this is not a 4* hotel. Our twin room was disappointing to say the least. On entering the room, there was an awful fousty smell, which never went away even after we sprayed the room with freshener multiple times. The bathroom had black mould around the bath and in between the wall tiles. In between the beds, the carpet had never been hoovered so was thick of dust. The cleaners trolley was constantly parked outside our room which was ironic because the room did not get cleaned daily. We found out the next morning that the rooms only get cleaned every 3 days unless you request daily cleaning via a QR code which we were not told about on checking in. We did ask at reception for a different room and that we were happy to pay for an upgrade but were told the hotel was full. The breakfast was ok and there was plenty of of freshly baked pastries. One thing we noticed in the breakfast area however was, when the guy was wiping the table tops after people had left, he was just wiping all the crumbs etc, onto the seats and leaving it!! I nearly pointed this out to him but decided not to bother as he probably did this all the time and I knew I would never be going back. The only good thing I can say about this hotel is that it is very central and has everything around it, lots of lovely restaurant, bars, shops etc. but in my opinion I would not even give it 3 stars never mind 4.

Hey Carol, Ouch! It's clear that your stay didn't quite hit the mark and for that, I'm truly sorry. Your comments about the room cleanliness and the bathroom condition are a real concern. We pride ourselves on our attention to detail and it sounds like we've dropped the ball on that front during your visit. The quirky thing about the cleaner's trolley constantly parked outside your room did make me chuckle, even though it's not the kind of irony we're aiming for. I understand you were not completely satisfied with our cleaning schedule. To help strike a balance between guest comfort and preserving the environment, we clean rooms every three days. But, if you fancy it daily, that's totally an option. Just a quick scan of a QR code and voilà, the clean squad is on their way. Sorry for the confusion there. I'm glad you enjoyed our breakfast, and those freshly baked pastries are a bit of a fan favourite. I'll pass on your feedback about the table cleaning method to our team. The whole stay was excellent. Reception staff was very helpful and available 24/7. Breakfast was very good, fresh fruits, fresh baked croissants and rolls, eggs the way you want. The breakfast staff are delightful people, always make time to have a small chat if you want. The hotel is located dead center in Eindhoven, just a few steps away from the main square with bars, restaurants and all the shops you can imagine. The train and bus station is just 350 meters away, so not even worth mentioning the 3 minute walk. In one word, Excellent.

Delighted with Crown Hotel Eindhoven, clean and tidy, fresh breakfast with vegetables that actually have taste, supplied us with a cot bed for our baby. Also they have their own two car parks. I stayed here for three nights. The first night was a total nightmare. When I opened the door to my room, it smelled like takeout curry. Yuck. To remedy the smell, I sprayed some hairspray that I had packed. At 2:30 a.m., there was a loud buzzing sound coming from I think the hallway. That lasted for at least 30 minutes. The walls are paper thin. I could hear my neighbors blow their noses! The next morning I asked if I could move rooms but the front desk attendant said they were sold out the next two nights (surprisingly!) so I was stuck there. They did give a note to housekeeping to remedy the smell and when I returned that evening the room did smell better. I did enjoy the breakfast buffet with its wide array of options along with the automatic coffee dispensers. It's a very short walk to the train station so that's a benefit. Overall I would not stay here again and would try another hotel.
