We had dinner and made a reservation specific for a large table so we could sit according to Covid-rules.
They wanted us to sit at a small table. At first they said no other table available😳allthough this large table request was mentioned in the confirmed reservation. After insisting we were seated at the other side of the bar at a large table. 💪🏻
Drink were there fast. Food was good (Chateaubriand) but took to long between courses. Staff was too busy. 😔 Nobody asked for next drinks.
Large parking. Modern building and interior.

We had to spend one night in Tilburg for a concert. We booked Van der Valk because as looked brand new and prices were more than reasonable. No disappointment. Rooms were clean and spacious, check-in very easy. Only downside might be the location, not central. We had a car and it took us approx 10 mins to reach the old town. Also we did not try breakfast. If you don't mind being out of walking distance from bars and restaurants this is surely a good option. I would surely book again.

Slept a few times now in different vd valk 6 mails before you arrive and small other things your money already blocked on your card before you are there and extra for food and drink never had that at other hotels.
Breakfast not special not even fresh orange juice

I have tried to think of something good to say about the hotel. The room was ok, but on the second night my dirty tea cup was still there and the soap had not been replaced.
The staff at check in were disinterested and offhand. At checkout it was somebody different and much better.
Breakfast buffet was unimaginative and the scrambled egg was the worst I have ever seen. No warm croissants, tinned fruit, and a tiny coffee from the machine.
The wifi kept dropping intermittently and did not work well in the room.

Stayed for 2 nights for work.

The hotel is easy to reach and find by car, as with all Van der Valk hotels, they are right next to highway exits. Huge parking lot and so far it is still free. (E-) bike rental is available. I have not seen a dedicated bike shed at front door.

Reservation is made by a simple phone call. Friendly and professional staff. As well as check in and out.

Due to Corona the restaurant is closed. Which means all meals are room serviced. Book the breakfast at reception and they show up at appointed time. Dinner, and rest of restaurant related orders, can be ordered at Anna Bel. There is a QR code in the room which proves the linke to Anna Bel and order from there.

The room is spacious and modern. Toilet is separated from bath room. Bathroom has huge mirror, bath and walk in shower. Queens bed with usb wall sockets at night stand!

It has been a pleasant stay and I would have rated a 4 star plus hotel, if not a 5!

Beautiful hotel with disappointing service and staff. We came in at 3 am from a long flight with our 2 year old with 2 weeks worth of luggage. The staff made us get our own Trolley and drag it upstairs.

At breakfast the staff where no where to be found to assist and the freshly made eggs station sat ideal the whole time with burnt eggs only on display.

When I asked for a little more late check out time than what I paid for, I was met with a harsh no. No smile nothing. Cold and brut.

Come checkout time I asked for a trolley to get the bags down , they said they don’t have any. I asked for help to take my bags down because I had a baby and couldn’t do it alone. Again they said they can’t help.

Not a 4 star hotel service or even a 2 star. Staff is disconnected and not friendly at all. I do not recommend it unless you speak Dutch or if your traveling with a family.

Such a shame because the room is spacious and very quiet

Stayed here for one night with two young kids before a day out in Efteling. Hotel nice enough in layout and decor, but felt poor value for money. Very few family rooms, forced to buy two at full price for young kids when many hotels would roll in a sofa bed/cot for you. Over 450 Euro as a result for one night stay and then asked for further 50 Euro for breakfast - cynical move that. Rooms we were in had no hot water in the morning so cold showers as a result, that was meet with a shrug from the front desk. Literally a shrug.

Sure this place is fine if your company is paying, but shocking value for money for families and very very little care and attention from the staff. Best avoided with kids.

We came for 6 nights at the Junior suite with a baby. We travel abroad 4-5 times a year for long stays and this is our 4th trip to NL. We send an email to reception team twice and also through the booking.com system and no one bothered to reply.
On the first day no one helped with the luggage and when we asked for help they directed us to use the cart to carry it ourself. Reception team don't smile or look at you. There is no concierge. There is no security system for going up to the room floors (the hotel has many guests from outside to restaurants and casino).
Breakfast is OK but if something is finished at the buffet you need to wait a long time. Also it is the same every day. No one serves you coffee you need to stand in line. Asked for omelets made from fresh eggs and blamed for being liars for staying with a baby. Sorry but as paying costumers we prefer something fresh and reliable and not some egg batter from a dirty container.
Housekeeping team is nice but could get better. We asked several times to put a larger sheet on the bed because it is too small but they don't do it.
The worst thing happened to us now as we came back from a long day outside, showered and washed the baby and when we used the clean towels they had awful smell of cigarettes! What is that supposed to be? We never experienced anything like this. We had to shower again and wait for them to get more towels.
No word or card mentioned regarding my birthday.
Baby bed is in terrible condition. She sleeps with us.
Location is convenient.
Room is too dark. Bathroom is nice. Toilet is weird located far from the bathroom and there is no place to put soap near the sink. Also they put the extra toilet paper on the toilet brush instead of getting proper hanger. No where to put a towel.
TV is slow. Wifi is slow.
Not original nespresso coffee. We had to buy capsules in town. No room service menu.
It's OK for a short visit for Efteling but don't expect 4* service. Stayed in much better hotels around Europe.

While visiting family in Tilburg a portion of our visit was spent at Van der Valk Hotel Tilburg. The hotel is clean, modern, and in particular has a very cordial and competent staff whether they work in reception, one of the hotels two restaurants, or in housekeeping. Check in and check out were handled smoothly as were cab requests made at reception. Many of the staff were skilled English speakers. We often invited family over to enjoy dinner at our place ...Hotel Tilburg. It would be difficult to exaggerate how enjoyable our stay was at Van der Valk Hotel Tilburg. We highly recommend this hotel.

Stayed here for a business conference and overall the stay was a mixed bag.
First of all, the location is close to the highway and parking is easy and free. It is a good hotel for meetings or for one of the two amusement parks relatively nearby. For visiting the highlights of the NL this is not a suitable location.

Check-in was relatively quick but very cold. The room itself was lovely with modern touches and exceeds the 4-star rating. The living area is light, modern and offers plenty of working space. As far as the bedding is concerned, I am not a fan of the VdValk chain and their pillows always give me a stiff neck because they are too high. I strongly prefer down pillows and when staying at a VdValk I now also bring my own.

The bathroom is also quite large and well equipped. Unfortunately, the cleanliness was not what it should be. Long black hair in the shower (for those who are wondering; mine is brown and short), an opened shampoo bottle that stood half empty, a few unsanitary spots on the wall in the toilet,…. Not what I expected.

The meeting rooms were excellent with all modern trimmings and natural daylight. Unfortunately, they are badly insulated and very noisy. We had a large group next to us and during their breaks we could hardly understand each other in our room.

The food in the restaurant was typical VdValk – not great, not bad but edible and lots of it…

Check-out was similar to check-in: cold and uninterested in how the stay was. Fortunately, it was also very quick.

It is a shame that the hotel did not offer a better service level – the hard product is quite all right. Would I stay here again: no, there are better options around where you are being welcomed in a warm way. One tip could be to visit their sister hotel in Nijmegen – they do get it right….

I have only been there at Christmas time. It is a great place. If your A/C doesn't work, let the staff know and request another room if it cannot be fixed. They are very accommodating.

Volgens mij was die er niet, ik ben wel met de fietstaxi gekomen vanaf Tilburg station en het is een schitterend traject naar het hotel door het park en ook de omgeving leent zich er voor.
