Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This hotel is a sanctuary in the city for gamers. Opposite a tranquil city park, in a buzzing area full of shops/ restaurants (and street market) but less than 15 minutes from central in what must be the easiest commute in Europe. The variety of games and consoles available to play is mind blowing and the arcade has some indisputable classics. We didn’t try the LAN room but will next time. If you’re into the finer things in life (gaming, comics, tabletop and trading card games) then you’ll find the staff are kindred spirits and very helpful and knowledgeable about the city. An ideal place to stay in Amsterdam for people of all ages and families with kids. The Henry Caville of hotels. DO IT!

Was my first time in Amsterdam and first time solo trip, but the hotel and their employees were very friendly and gave me a lot of helpful tips as well as recommendations for places to go in the city. If you're more of a at home person or you enjoy endless hours of gaming, this is THE hotel to bridge that gap between gaming and traveling. Walls are a bit thin and the stairway to your rooms are very steep keep in mind. I look forward to visiting again! -B 5/5 location 4/5 rooms 5/5 for cleanliness 5/5 for game room and social interactions 5/5 for being helpful

Brilliant hotel. Once we figured out the trams getting to Central Amsterdam was easy, about 10 minutes. Nice bar nearby. Staff at the hotel were very friendly and the games consoles were great. Would stay again. There was a hair dryer and clean towels in the room along with shower gel and shampoo, which I wasn't expecting

It was a very good stay in The Arcade! The breakfast was good but something, hmmm, interesting solution. It was ok for me. The room was clean. I´ve been disappointed about the comfort, but i´m only knew some 4* Hotels in Austria and Germany. For Amsterdam it was cool. The Metro and Tram are just a few minutes away! So, if you are a small standard loving men (or women :D), i truly recommend The Arcade! I would take it again, if i visited Amsterdam again!

Themed hotel in a vibrant part of town, but still quiet enough to sleep nicely. Rooms are small, but clean and nicely equipped. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Good value for money. Nice spot for playful guests.

Staff were friendly, location good - tram stop along the street and metro a 5 minute walk, 25-30 minute walk into the centre. Good idea to have different consoles in rooms with different game options. Liked the different lights in the bathroom. Quite a busy hotel with lots of noise. Room was quite dusty. Bed comfortable. The room we were in was quite small but okay for just sleeping.

dissapointed with the consoles in my room, one you couldnt play any games on and the nintendo 64 didnt work. i was hoping to have a ps2 in my room and a modern console, this was misleading, my friend got two very good consoles ps3 and the modern cosole which i was unable to play games on, only watch netflix and booked the exact room as myself, was disappointing. Amazing location and some great local cafes, all i can say is i would stay here again but based on i would ensure i had a room with a console i would be happy with otherwise its a waste of a booking

Hotel is in a pleasant location in De Pijp. Not far from local transportation or amenities. Walking distance to city centre. Our particular room was very small, for two people with luggage, there was hardly any floor space or room to change. The bathroom was standard, no luxuries, wasn’t entirely clean either, visible dust on the towel rack, stains on the door and floor area next to the shower. The bed was comfortable. Window condensation is a problem, so make sure to have window open during the night. Big issue with the noise from people above and outside. Would probably stay somewhere different in the future.
