My boyfriend and I stayed here for two nights over Halloween, we decided to get public transport to the hotel as had been told it was so easy however there were roadworks going on around the hotel closing the roads, I know this isn't the hotels fault but would have been nice for them to let guests know the public... This hotel was the best i have been on in Amsterdam, and i have been here alot. Good size, you can deside the heat of the owen, good bathroom, cleaned everyday, and it is very central. Its near Leidseplein if you want to go for a drink, or for shopping. It was quiet and no smoking. The only negative was... More

The location are great, very close to everything. But the rooms are very small and the walls are very thin. We had one bad night with workers outside on the street, but that's not the hotels fault. Nice with the bike rent, but very expensive, around double up from the ones you find in the city. Breakfast is okay, not... More

Putting a double bed into a cupboard does not make a double/twin room. The double bed had a 40cm space around 2 sides on the bed. It might have been acceptable as a single room but not a double. Somebody shouldn't have to climb onto the bed just to allow somebody to pass. This was without doubt the worst room... More

Smallest double room I've ever encountered!! Unbelievable, so beware when booking! This is a room for one person with a double bed pushed in the corner, can't even walk around the bed! If it was €60 a night might not be so bad but more than double that! On plus side good location and nice breakfast !

The room was decorated in a boutique style. Very clean and simply furnished. Our room over looked the road to the south so had beautiful views of the museum district. The hotel has a sweet little decked balcony and luggage storage which were a big help on our last day packing and repacking our bag with all the souvenir cheese... More

Great location near Rijks & premium shopping. Clean and good breakfast. This hotel is also near the canal tours, Hard Rock Cafe and the light rail to the various airports and train/bus stations. I would recommend.

We chose this hotel because we had three in our party and I couldn't find a hotel that would accommodate us in one room. Hotel Cornelisz is very conveniently located near the Rikjsmuseum and just two blocks from the Van Gogh museum. For entertainment and action the Leidseplein area is two blocks in the other direction. There is high end... More

Location of the hotel is great. You can take the Connexxion Airport Express (bus 197) from Schipol Airport, leave the bus at Rijksmuseum stop and the hotel is only one minute walk. And vice versa, when you're heading to airport, take the same bus which comes to the Rijksmuseum stop at every ten minutes, and the ride is about half... More

A really nice hotel and conveniently situated. Bus no. 197 from the airport stops at the Museumplein, just a couple of minutes' walk away. The Rijksmuseum, Van Gogh Museum, and Vodelpark are all just a short walk from the hotel. On the nearby canal is one of the stops for the canal boat cruises and the Leidseplein is about five... Staying in Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)

Neighbourhood Profile
Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)
Top sites to see in this attractive and affluent part of town include the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum, to name but two of the highly acclaimed museums of the aptly named Museum Quarter. And if you need a break from all the fantastic art, there’s the Neoclassical Concertgebouw music hall and Vondelpark, the city’s largest park. Shopaholics and luxury brand connoisseurs will love exploring the high-end shopping destinations of PC Hooftstraat, Van Baerlestraat, Cornelis Schuytstraat, and Jacob Obrechtstraat, where even the shop window displays are of museum quality. In the evenings, when the museums close and the daytrippers head home, the area becomes a quiet oasis of calm with a sophisticated and urbane tone.
