I've been to Amsterdam many times, but this boutique B&B is a real find! Optional location, close to absolutely everything you need. Gracious friendly and informative staff. Massive rooms, with everything you could possibly need. Better than a home away from home. This will be my first pick of Amsterdam accommodation from now on.

Had a fabulous weekend stay here in November as we were going to a show at the Melkweg. It was easy to reach on the 197 bus from Schipol airport which dropped us off 200 metres from the Tuilpa. We were met by our friendly hosts Jan and Paula who showed us maps of the local bars, restaurants and places...

My friend and I stayed at a Tulipa early Seotember this year and were so thrilled with our accommodation. We needed a twin room and were given this amasing huge room with 2 queen beds, so much space it was almost like two little apartments. Of course the view over the canal gave us the real feel of Amsterdam, often...

We stayed here with friends we had the suite on the top floor...lots of steep steps to reach it but well worth it and not really a problem for us at all. Lovely helpful hosts and wonderful view from our suite..

Our 3rd stay, and as wonderful as before in every way. Staying at Tulipa now feels a bit like "coming home." Friendly & helpful hosts, delicious, huge breakfasts with fresh ingredients, heavenly beds, perfect location, immaculately clean ... Who could ask for more? Thanks, Paula and Jan!

Tulipa is a really different hotel experience. You have a large tastefully furnished apartment - we stayed in the basement flat with a garden and friends had the 2nd floor apartment. The owners were extremely helpful in recommending lovely places to eat which we're all excellent. However, if you cannot manage steps this is not the place for you.

Whilst we have stayed in modern hotels in Amsterdam our preference is for a character period property preferably overlooking a canal. The problem with this is that unless you really are prepared to spend an awful lot of money is that the rooms will usually be cramped. So, at the Tulipa we had a attractive two bed period apartment with...

The Tulipa is a great choice for travelers looking for an alternative to a traditional hotel in the heart of the museum area quarter. We booked the two bedroom suite for a family of four and took advantage of the breakfast option twice during our stay. The highlight of the spacious room was the view out of the bay window...

Tulipa is situated in the center of Amsterdam close to all amenities and the Vondelpark. The building is beautiful, inside and out, and the accommodation is above average in all respects. The downstairs two-bedroom apartment has a fully equipped kitchen, bathroom with shower and bath, and a garden (which is extremely rare in the city). Ideal for a family with...

We stayed at Tulipa for 4 nights. We had two rooms, the double room with canal view and the family apartment in the basement. The double room was 5 star for comfort and I would thoroughly recommend it although there is a steep staircase to reach it - this is a common feature of period townhouses in Amsterdam. Particularly great...
