Arrived on the 1st day and the lady at the reception was not helpful and rude. The accomadation was basic. It served it's purpose. The fact that there were cigarette butts out side our window was not appealing.

I stayed here for 3 nights with my boyfriend for our first trip away together. Upon arrival we discovered we'd been lumped with a twin room instead of the double we had booked through lastminute.com. After trying to explain this to reception, they had no interest in helping and were nothing but rude and abrasive. We took it up with... More

Just come back from a long weekend with friends and stayed here for 2 nights. Great experience to have stayed here and the boat ride to and from the city centre is a treat, something you wouldn't do if you stayed in the heart of the city. Staff here were very friendly and helpful and facilities on board were spot... More

2nd visit to Amsterdam. Stayed with my boyfriend and another couple for 3 nights and we loved it, close enough to the city to be there in no time but far enough away to enjoy some peace and quiet when needed. Yes the rooms are small and basic but have everything you need and are spotless. Cleaners do a great... More

The botel is very basic Shower and bathroom very small and cramped but ok for a short stay. Bedrooms again are very basic with no tea or coffee available. The beds are very hard and had no extra pillows available upon request. Breakfast was ok for continental but could have had a bit more of a range. Staff were very... More

Great accommodation to explore Amsterdam - loved our stay here and will be returning when we come again. Clean and cheap for a budget get a way for a European trip. Breakfast included which was okay but for the money you pay its very good value.

Stayed for 3 nights, very clean, quiet and the staff we're very helpful. It is a 15 minute ferry ride from the Central train station,we were really impressed by the fact the ferry was free(something that would never exist in Britain). Tasty breakfast and the beer was reasonably priced 4euros a pint. We would definitely recommend using the Botel to our friends,it... More

Staying in Centrum

Neighbourhood Profile
Centrum
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.
