Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Our new NUMBER 1 Luxury Hotel WORLDWIDE. From the moment you set foot in the lobby you are welcomed by a smartly dressed, intelligent staff. The room is presented by a Butler who gave a briefing on the numerous amenities. Our room, #404 was on a corner with spectacular views of The Royal Palace, and the Dam Square. The room was soundproof with 4 layers of glass. Everything is Uber-High quality. The bathroom is fit for Royalty. Two automatic bidet toilets, dual shower with steam room, spa bathtub, heated bathroom floors. Decorated by a genius. Absolutely loved it! Oh, and get the Special breakfast. Fine dining in the morning. Beyond compare. Now the real reason we came across the pond was for dinner at Bougainville. Top notch experience. Have a drink in the bar prior to dinner. Hip and sexy environment. Follow it up with A Michelin Star treat, the Chef's tasting Menu. We stay in a lot of 5 Star hotels and dine in Michelin Starred restaurants. This is right there with the best in the world (think Mandarin Oriental Bangkok, Four Seasons Bora Bora). We will definitely be back. It's a reason to make a stop over in Amsterdam.

Loved this place ! My kids are still talking about this hotel! The restaurant, the staff, the location was all perfect ! The shower/steam room was my fav! When we arrived our baby vomited everywhere it was so early in the morning and they were so accommodating! They made sure we had a place to clean up , food to eat and got us in the room before noon ! FYI the window are sound and bullet proof!

We stayed for two nights in a Junior Suite and it was spacious with an entrance vestibule (with toilet and wardrobes), sitting area (large enough) and separate bathroom (spacious with good lighting). Overall we thought the room was luxurious and very comfortable and akin to something you might find in a five star resort rather than a city centre. The big plus point was how quiet the room was, despite being slap bang in the centre of the city. We couldn't hear a thing from outside despite having a large window overlooking the main street and corner of the square. I had two of the best sleeps ever with the peace and quiet and very comfortable bed. Staff were attentive, helpful and very welcoming every time you returned to the hotel. We were room only and didn't dine at the restaurant. The bar had a good vibe to it. Overall, I can not fault Hotel Twentyseven and my only hesitation about staying here again is the cost.

What a high-quality hotel! Situated in a historical building at Dam Square, so it is super central, this hotel is amazing. We stayed in the hotel at Christmas and had diner in Michelin star rated Bougainville restaurant. The combination is just prefect! The reception at the hotel was warm en professional. We had a suite on the fourth floor, overlooking Dam Square. On arrival the butler was awaiting us at the elevator leading us to our suite. in the suite, a waitress waited for us with a cocktail, The suite was very luxurious, crystal clear and warm decorated. A bathroom with a spacious jacuzzi, double shower/sauna. The king size bed was just perfect to sleep well. Several pillows to choose from. Lights, air conditioner and temperature are to be adjusted by touchscreens. But what makes this hotel extra special is the service of every member of the staff. They really make the stay something special.

This is an extremely lovely hotel , and is a perfect location for sightseeing! The staff went out of their way to help us locate museums and restaurants, even walking us to our lunch in the rain! I highly recommend staying here and enjoying the beautiful rooms and wonderful views of the square!

Amazing Hotel right on Dam Square. Service excellent. Entire staff was accommodating in a non pretentious way. A special call out to the day shift doorman. He was absolutely fantastic. Supplied us with directions and always had the umbrellas handy with a smile. Food and Bar excellent. Prime location to explore the city.

The staff was absolutely amazing! From the front desk, to the butlers, to the restaurant and bar. Absolutely amazing and probably the most hospitable staff we’ve ever encountered. One of the butlers literally walked us a few blocks down the road in the rain to a restaurant recommendation he suggested nearby for lunch. Worth the money! Our room was amazing and extremely high tech. Maybe the best quality of materials, finishes and tech we’ve ever encountered as well. Steam showers, heated toilets, TV's that rise from the foot of the bed....anything and everything was well-thought out and quality. The only negative was no fitness center. Michelin restaurant inside and a great bar as well.

This is a very special hotel and a wonderful experience. Whilst it is not cheap, for a hotel of this standard it is not expensive either for what it is, and it is worth every penny (or cent). The service is exceptional from first to last, from the doorman, reception, butlers, waiters and housekeeping. The suites are luxurious and full of gadgets. The decoration might not be everyone's taste, but it is part of the experience. They are also blessed with a Michelin star restaurant on site, which is an experience in itself (have the tasting menu - you won't regret it!). All the rooms are suites, which is their unique selling-point, so it is a smallscale and personal experience. All in all, this is the best hotel I have ever stayed in - and I have stayed in many. If you have the budget for it, stay here at least once in your life (and of course, Amsterdam itself is a very special city too!)
