This was a after midnight arrival in Amsterdam central station. Hotels just by the station all full and asking VERY high rates, tried 5 places, just walked until I came across this place. Must say it was a high climb up the stairs to reception, As all previous hotels was full and a long flight from Bangkok I was ready... More

The hotel is ran by money hungry people, charging money for whatever they can. Wifi, water, snacks. Rooms aren't cheap in terms of price quality ratio. But what the hotel does not provide; clean toilets and showers or decent curtains. Hallways are dirty. The room I got was cleanish and the bed was good. Staff helped me carry my luggage... More

Faulty Towers would be a five star hotel compared to this so called Hotel accommodation. I and three others booked this place as it was a 15min walk from the center of town, that at least was correct but it was so bad we moved out on the same day, we did not stay one night as camping in a... More

Very very dirty. Hair and dust were everywhere .the way they show the hotel in the pics are nothing real. No towel or nothing in the room. Curtains had stains on them, the floor was full of dirt. Toilets and shower stank. Pilows were very uncomfortable and bed sheets were very unhygienic. There were insects and spider webs. There was... More

We knew that the hotel was pretty cheap but we didn't expect that kind of place. Floor was dirty and there was no bed clothing for the blanket. We also ask bed clothing and the owner promise that he will bring those but we never got those.Only positive thing was the price.

Very basic hotel. Toilets are common, No wifi, Rooms very small. Prices are not very cheap. So not even value for money. Charged 22.5 euros per bed. Rooms not very clean. At least the heating system worked. The only good thing about this Hotel that it was near city center.

This place was horrible. We hadn't realised that last minute accommodation in Amsterdam might be an issue, which evidently it was, hence we ended up here or two nights. This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. I'm pretty sure the bedding hadn't been washed, and I have no idea when the last time was that the shower... More

Spent a total of 9 days in Amsterdam across 4 different hostels. I do not look for creature comforts and fully know what to expect from a budget hostel/hotel. Arrival and check in went smoothly but was told to come back in an hour due to the room not being ready. I was with 2 friends at the time and... More

Staying in Centrum

Neighbourhood Profile
Centrum
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.
