OK, first off ignore the suggested directions from the hostel. From the train station go left find the Nemo center and cross the bridge in front of it that leads to a seires of boat docks on your right. We showed up within check in window at 6:30. No-one there. Went and got dinner, returned, no-one there. After about ten...

Very nice place! The boat is cosy and decorated with old sailor stuff. The 'Captain' is so kind and has great humor. He also makes you a very delicious breakfast every morning. I can only recommend staying at the Maria Alberta.

We stayed three guys in a very small cabin with shower and toilet. We could barely fit inside as it was sooo small. This was the only small inconvenience. We had the greatest terrace on the deck of the boat, where we could sit and eat, drink, relax while watching the view. However, the highlight is the host. The captain...

We have just returned from a short break in Amsterdam and really enjoyed staying on the Maria Alberta. We received a really warm welcome from Lucas on our first night and found the boat with ease walking straight from Centrall Station taking us no more than 15 mins. Lucas gave us lots of helpful suggestions regarding where to eat and...

We stayed at this boat for 3 nights and we loved it! Being a small boat the rooms are quite small but enough for the experience :) we stayed in the double room, really comfortable bed, warm (too much sometimes, which is good because u can control it and make it the way u want! :) Everything is big enough...

That was a good experience. I like the intimacy that landlords showed. Highly recommend.

We decided to stay on a boat to get the full Amsterdam experience. We stayed 3 nights. The owner was wonderful- helpful, friendly, and funny. The location is convienent- about 5-10 minutes from central station on foot. The rooms were small- as we expected- since we were on a boat! Breakfast was included, and was simple, but good! The boat...

Neighbourhood Profile
Eastern Docklands (Oostelijk Havengebied)
A visit to Amsterdam’s Eastern Docklands presents the opportunity to marvel at its many modern architectural masterpieces like the Openbare Bibliotheek Amsterdam and the beguiling Python Bridge while taking in its scenic waterfront with its trendy assortment of cafés, restaurants, bars, and clubs. Here in this post-industrial (though in some parts still very much presently industrial) neighborhood, you’ll find a smart selection of cool galleries and shops as well as the kid-friendly Science Center NEMO and the National Maritime Museum.
