I stayed at the nhow along with 40+ colleagues, we were exhibiting in the Rai. The hotel is perfect for anyone visiting or working at the Rai, it is under 500 meters door to door.

Being a brand new hotel everything is spick and span however this also meant that the restaurant wasn’t yet open. I understand it will be opened in March 2020.

The decor is funky with artwork all over reception, bar and other public areas.
All the rooms are themed, I was staying in one of the African rooms. It’s a good sized room with desk and separate seating. The bed was a very comfortable king although the pillows were spongy and not the feather I’m used to.

Breakfast was a fairly standard hot and cold buffet, I can highly recommend the beetroot and ginger muesli with yogurt.
Be aware that as it’s so new a lot of taxi drivers including Uber can’t find the front door.

Highly recommended.

Firstly, just want to say what an amazing hotel it is. Clean, fun themed rooms, polite and overly helpful staff Made the visit so much more enjoyable. A little out from the city centre but very easy to get to the centre via the metro which is just down the road. The hotel is a in a little under developed area. But once it has a couple more hotels are built (currently being built) and restaurants it will be the perfect location, and only a 20 min drive from the airport. Would definitely stay here again and was the perfect place to retreat to after a long day of Amsterdam's streets and museums.

Brand new building in a clean and modern neighbourhood. Each room has a country theme which is artistic and tastefully designed. All-nighter self check mini bar was a great touch. Metro and train station 1 to 2 minute walk with direct and very fast connections to the airport (15 min) and central station/city centre (5 to 10 min). The restaurant/bar area has a great vibe, designe, and colours. Great breakfast on the higher floors with beautiful view. Alvaro (the super helpful selfie guy), Siman, and Nisrin were the receptionists who helped me the most, and there isn't a negative thing that I could think of regarding my stay. There are days when the prices are higher, especially on weekends and with last minute bookings, which is a good reason to avoid this hotel, but otherwise it offers an experience comparable to hotels several times more expensive. Definitely my new favourite Amsterdam stay.

"Sorry" was a one word resume from our stay. This was all we kept hearing.

Starting at arrival, somebody checked in on our names before we could even check in. We stood at the reception for atleast 15 minutes because they couldn't figure out why our reservation wasn't in the system anymore. The manager found out somebody check in on our names (how?). our room wasn't cleaned at all. The minibar was full of other peoples drinks, the bathroom towel was dirty and our bins were not cleaned at all. We couldnt even open the bathroom bin because it had chewing gum in it.

We went to the reception to tell them, and they gave us a different room and 2 free drinks in the bar as a sorry. This new room was cleaned, but they forgot to clean under the bed. When we were packing our baggage the next morning, we found a condom underneath the bed, which was really grose.

The beds were really soft and big. The blankets were perfect for the weather conditions that day and the pillows were in a good soft condition aswell.

Our one and only evening at the hotel:

We decided to make a reservation at the sky bar terrace for 20:30 that evening. When we arrived at 20:35 that evening, we instantly got told that the sky bar terrace was fully booked and there was no space. We were looking at eachother, because we did have a reservation. In the end it came down to the moment they gave our table away because we were 5 minutes late. After waiting 10 minutes, we got a table outside, but in the end it took 20 minutes for them to bring us a menucard. They told us it was busy and they didn't have any spare cards. Another sorry. The drinks took a while aswell, and they told us another sorry.

I do have to mention that the breakfast was well organized and really tasty. From candy to cava and fresh made omelets, really everything was there. It was an amazing breakfast.

We stayed as an early valentine's treat for my partner over 3 nights, I had requested champagne and fresh flowers be put in the room and this was catered for by a very friendly Nick from guest relations. I was slightly disappointed with the flowers as they were put in the wrong size vase so had died by the third day but all in all it was a great job of dealing with special requests including putting us in a corner bedroom.
The room itself I would give 5, worth the extra money with amazing views and very clean. We stayed in 1936 and found it very comfortable however would have liked to of seen fresh milk and a stocked mini bar (even a chargeable one) would make it more convenient. Our main disappointment was house keeping, unless you leave used cups and glasses outside the room they just leave them in your room, we had champagne brought up on the second evening for when we arrived back and they left the champagne bucket and bottle from the previous night and used cups / glasses without replacing them. I also didn't opt for the complementary drinks as I like my room cleaned and a turn down service but they just folded the towels that were on the floor and remade the bed. On a 3 night stay I'd have liked to of seen the bedding changed once and glasses replaced for fresh ones daily, taking away dirty glasses should just be standard.
The cocktail bar upstairs was fabulous, not to be confused with the first floor bar this is a sky lounge on the top floor, great drinks and service and lovely decor. The restaurant was fully booked but we managed to get in on our last night, our steak came extremely undercooked / blue when we ordered medium rare which at this price point was disappointing. Service could have been better also the restaurant decor wise again is stunning though and great views. All in all a worthy hotel of the price point and amenities but a little bit further and it would be an all round gem.

We stayed at nhow Amsterdam Rai for 5 Nights in Mid July & I absolutely enjoyed our stay. The hotel staff is very nice. The location is so convenient for Metro station and Tram. Its not in the Central district of Amsterdam but easily accessible via Tram. We were able to see all the places using Tram. The rooms were very nice. The décor at the hotel is colorful, Their breakfast bar has plenty of choices every for the Vegetarians. The cook noticed our special dietary requirements & able to prepare. Plenty of choices including Fresh Orange Juice, Fresh Smoothie, Fresh Bread, Fresh fruits, Salad bar, Desserts, ready to make omelets & much more. We would love to return again. Walking distance from hotel & take the Train directly to get to Schiphol airport in 15 min for less than 6 euros. At the front desk, they were nice to help us print our Covid test results as well. Anyone travelling to Amsterdam in July & August of 2021 from USA, need Covid PCR Test upon entry to USA, Please keep in mind that Government of Health Ministry offers FREE PCR test for this 2 months. We got it done for FREE.

Stayed here for 1 night, Staff was friendly and helpful even thought that they still needed to find their one way in the hotel they took their time to help you out. The location is great as well. not in the heart of Amsterdam but with a subway stop next to the hotel entrance you are within a short reach of al the best places to visit in Amsterdam. Room was great and well equipped and we had a very spacious and clean bathroom. The highlight of our stay was the breakfast with you can't miss out. The breakfast is served on the 17th floor with a magnificent view over Amsterdam! The buffet was great and there was a small live cooking area. I saw there was a small terrace as well wich should be great to start your day with in the summer.

We've just arrived back home after spending 3 nights at this hotel
The hotel is beautiful, modern, clean and a great location

The restaurant/bar on the 24th floor is absolutely stunning,we went each evening to enjoy a drink before going out into the centre.

The only negative I would say is that we didn't get to visit the cocktail bar as it was always too full.
This is because non residents were also allowed to use the facilities, and no priority was given to the paying guests.

I think this should change in the future,so that everyone staying at the hotel is given the chance to sample what they have paid for.

We would return back to this hotel,as everything except the cocktail bar availability was excellent.

I recently stayed here and the hotel was picked by someone else for me. At first I was apprehensive as it wasn’t in central Amsterdam but actually that worked perfectly for me in the end. The hotel is situated right near Amsterdam Rai station and also Europaplein station so easy to get the train and metro (it’s very cheap to do this too.) The hotel is immaculately decorated for the most part, a few things not to my style e.g in my bedroom a rather large mural of a man on the bed head was the first thing I noticed when I walked it and the ceiling in my room looked like concrete still but I quickly realised that’s the aesthetic the hotel were going for. I didn’t try the food here so cannot comment on that but the staff were lovely and helpful too. I would definitely recommend and if I came back to Amsterdam this hotel would be my first choice. It’s a great piece of architecture too.

This is the second time we have stayed at this hotel and we loved it again. It is the best value you’ll find for luxury accommodations in Amsterdam. We enjoyed how close the hotel is to the Metro and how we could get anywhere in Amsterdam within 15 minutes. The staff are friendly and helpful. They initially messed up our room but were quick to fix it when we raised the issue. We upgraded to the larger corner room and it was well worth it because there is almost twice as much space as the standard room and beautiful views over the city. We also loved the self checkout shop that allowed us to buy anything from soda to chocolate in the lobby each day. My only complaint would be the A/C in the room that is unnecessarily complex and should probably be simplified.

It's absolutely easy to take the train to meet up with your friends. The hotel is a mere few minutes away from the station. I think the route might take a little longer than a bus/tram - you'll have to check the timetables and stops. Take the usual precautions as you would where you live, but I felt safe coming back to nhow after taking the train late at night from the city center.

No but as others have said train is easy if you have little or no luggage. Alternative is a taxi. People forget that trains and stations are a pain unless it’s very light or you are young.
