I stayed the first time in the Dylan as I normally stay at the Hoxton when in Amsterdam but I must say this will be my new home in Amsterdam. Great location, quiet rooms and super nice staff. The bathrooms are cool but still cozy and the beds are terrific.

First of all - Hotel is beautiful, service is ok, everyone is polite. I would recommend it. But there is but. - in small luxury hotel you expect personal touch, special service, thats why you would stay there. Even everyone is polite noone really cares if you enjoy. - I booked 2

Dear Ms. Siver, As I understand from your feedback, your experience with us, has not been satisfying and for that I am truly sorry. Please allow me to summarize the comments you have given us; - Because you informed us on the day before your arrival that you would like to have all the rooms near each other, we offered you to change one of the superior suites to a junior suite. Which is located in the same building as your suite. You confirmed us to change this. Unfortunately we were not aware of any room style preference. We always do our best to allocate guests in rooms of their preferences. - Since most of the kitchens are closed around the time of your request for dinner, we informed you of this. Fortunately the concierge was able to arrange a boat tour with snacks on such short notice. - In regards to the vodka, I can only apologize for the inconvenience caused. We place a bottle of water next to the bed each night. The bottle you referring to was standing in the minibar and says “Our vodka by Amsterdam” at the front of the bottle. I understand that this was early in the morning and I do not think there is something we could have done differently. - The block on your credit card is only a reservation, nothing is charged before departure. When a guest reached the amount of the authorization, there will be an extra authorization taken to cover the extra charges. Upon departure, the authorizations which are not used will be refunded on the credit card immediately. I am sorry if this was not clear. Ms. Siver, if in any way you have felt that our staff was inhospitable towards you, I offer my sincere apologies. Hopefully you and your friends did have a lovely time in Amsterdam and hopefully we may welcome you back in the future. With kind regards, René Bornmann General Manager The Dylan Amsterdam

Fantastic service at this beautiful boutique hotel, perfectly placed for all the sights yet still quiet and serene. Beautiful bar and lounge, and as I said, amazing staff who provide five star service.

We had a really good check in and check out, the rooms are spacious and comfortable and the hotel is a 25 minute walk to Amsterdam Centraal station (a 12 minute drive), a 10 minute walk to Red light district, 20 minute walk to the Anne Frank museum, 30 minute walk to the

Dear guest, Thank you very much for your review. It is always very helpful to receive feedback from our guests. It’s a pleasure to read that you liked the hotel and its location. However your feedback in regards to the service is less positive and I do apologise for the lack of attention there. Please trust that we take these comments very seriously and I have passed your feedback on to the departments involved. We will have a look at the options of how we can improve and to create awareness among the staff members involved. Again, if in any way, you have felt that our staff was inhospitable towards you, I offer my sincere apologies. At The Dylan it is our first and foremost priority to give all our guest our fullest and sincere attention, in the most personal and unique way possible. In regards to the noise in the room, I certainly understand the impact of an interrupted stay and I am sorry for the inconvenience this has caused. I wish we would have known that you were disturbed by any noise, than we would have tried to solve this for you or perhaps looked for a different room in a more quiet part of the hotel. Please do let us know for next time that you prefer a quiet room or please send an email to reservations@dylanamsterdam.com, then we can put a note in your profile. Please do let me know if there is anything I can do for you at this moment. Again thank you and I sincerely hope to welcome you back at The Dylan! With kind regards, René Bornmann General Manager The Dylan Amsterdam

Yes-just email the hotel and they’ll accommodate. We had a room for our kids and the beds were separated into twins at our request. The Dylan is an excellent hotel with impeccable service and very friendly staff - superb location.

It really depends on the kid. If they are calm, polite, and curious about old buildings, they're going to love it. If they run away, are highly excited, or can get lost, this is not the place to bring them. The staircases are very tall and steep, it's very easy to get lost if you're rushing (I did get lost twice because I wasn't paying attention, and I'm 32). The hotel is beautiful, the restaurant is unbelievably amazing, and the staff are excellent, they'll treat your children well regardless of how they behave.

Yes, this hotel is luxury but very friendly and like a home. There is a steep steps inside of the room. So if grandparents are not old, you will enjoy the stay. Location is very good. You can walk to Anne Frank's house, National museum and the station where the boat tour starts.
