I usually stay at 5 star hotels but they were all ridiculously expensive and this looked great and the price was right. I am SO glad I stayed there. Terrific location, perfect staff, and everything was just great. I think this is a real gem.

This was a perfect location in the quiet museum quarter. It was near city trams and 197 airport bus transportation. Wonderful staff who were so friendly and helpful. Glad to have an elevator in the hotel and the jacuzzi in the bathroom.

We visited as a family with 2 small children for King's Day 2016. The hotel was in a perfect location for us, close enough to absorb the atmosphere but in a quiet spot off the main streets and easily commutable by tram to the centre of the city. Hotel JL No76 comes highly recommended by my husband and myself! We had a fantastic stay there over King's Day 2016. The hotel is located a 5 min walk from the Van Gogh museum and Rijks Museum. It is very close to Vondelpark, and a close walk to the canals/city centre. The airport bus 197 drops off right in front...

During our stay in March : Good hotel, great location. Rooms were nice but a little small! Would probably look to stay somewhere different next visit as was quite pricey and wouldn't say it was worth the money really.

Laid back hotel, large clean room on lower floor. Staff was extremely helpful with recommendations for restaurants, tickets for Kukenhof gardens, and tram info. Thomas was gracious and accomadating as was Gabby, Samy, and Kline. Location was perfect, near museums on a quiet street. Didn't eat breakfast at hotel as we ate later at a cafe. Would definately return again....

This is a really nice, small hotel very close to Museum Square. The tram stops about 2 blocks at the end of the street and will take you to Central Station, Dam Square and other attractions. The hotel itself is clean, has comfortable beds and a really friendly staff. We loved the area and had a wonderful stay.

Staying in Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)

Neighbourhood Profile
Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)
Top sites to see in this attractive and affluent part of town include the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum, to name but two of the highly acclaimed museums of the aptly named Museum Quarter. And if you need a break from all the fantastic art, there’s the Neoclassical Concertgebouw music hall and Vondelpark, the city’s largest park. Shopaholics and luxury brand connoisseurs will love exploring the high-end shopping destinations of PC Hooftstraat, Van Baerlestraat, Cornelis Schuytstraat, and Jacob Obrechtstraat, where even the shop window displays are of museum quality. In the evenings, when the museums close and the daytrippers head home, the area becomes a quiet oasis of calm with a sophisticated and urbane tone.
