Nestled in a tranquil location, Met Hotel is often praised for its modern charm and clean facilities. Guests have enjoyed the contemporary comforts and cleanliness of the rooms, despite some finding them on the smaller side. The welcoming atmosphere and attentive service are highlights, although a few guests have experienced inconsistencies in service quality. While the hotel's position offers a quiet retreat, it is noted that some travelers may find it less convenient without ready access to public transport. Opinions on value vary, with some guests feeling the experience does not fully justify the price.

Lovely hotel, a little out of the centre but really easy to travel in. (under 30 mins)

Very modern, well fitted and thought out. Staff seemed friendly and the atmosphere felt laid-back and the breakfast/lunch/coffee was great.

Only improvements I would note is the generic music (the sort that attempts to brainwash you with affirmations into a happy place) that plays in the restaurant/bar area was painful and didn’t seem to suit the cooler vibe of the hotel. The addition of real shampoo/conditioner wouldn’t be a lot to add but would definitely make the room experience feel more premium instead of the 3-in-1 wash that destroys your hair (but there is a shop nearby to buy some).

The rooms are so modern, clean, and big!. The beds are comfortable. The staff is so friendly and helpful and welcoming! We got to the hotel super early and they held our luggage and let us wait around in the lobby/restaurant until our room was ready! They also let us enjoy breakfast before we even checked in (though we did have to pay for it). Speaking of, getting the breakfast included with your room is totally worth it! A huge selection of yummy foods, coffee, and water. Plus they have free water available all day and night - a true rarity in European hotels! I would absolutely stay here again. The location is a bit far from the city center but it’s only a 10 minute walk to the tram station or you can order an Uber without issue. It may seem like a more dingy part of town but we felt perfectly safe walking around at all times of the day and night.

The Met Hotel Amsterdam is a true gem among boutique hotels and impresses in every respect. As soon as you enter the hotel, you feel welcomed into a world of elegance and comfort. The design is modern and stylish without losing heat. The lobby and common areas are generously designed, with carefully selected details that convey a sense of luxury.

Rooms at the Met Hotel are a highlight in themselves. They are not only aesthetically pleasing, but also equipped with all the amenities you would expect from a first-class hotel. The beds are extremely comfortable and ensure a restful night's sleep. The bathroom is also modern and has a spacious rain shower and high-quality toiletries to complete the stay.

Of particular note is the service at the Met Hotel. The staff is attentive, helpful and always ready to meet any request of guests. Whether it’s recommendations for local restaurants or organising activities – the staff convince with their friendliness and professionalism.

The culinary offer also leaves nothing to be desired. Breakfast is varied and offers a wide selection of fresh, regional products to suit every taste. The hotel bar is also an ideal place to end the evening with a creative cocktail or a glass of wine.

The location of the Met Hotel is another plus. It is located in a quiet, well-connected district of Amsterdam, making it easy to explore the city's famous sights without sacrificing a relaxed atmosphere.

In summary, Met Hotel Amsterdam offers a perfect mix of style, comfort and excellent service. Whether for business travelers, couples or families, this hotel is the perfect choice for an unforgettable stay in the Dutch capital. Highly recommended!

The service at this hotel was exceptional. And if you’re willing to use public transportation it is a great value and location. It is located very close to the first Sprinter stop from Schiphol. Same stop has tram line to front of Rijksmuseum. 1 block the other direction is the bus stoop to Central station. Plus we could hike thru Rembrandt park to VondelPark and alternately s short hike the other way took us to Sloterpark. Very new, modern decor with convenient amenities. We especially commend Abdo for his friendly service.

This is a great hotel for a stay in Amsterdam, we stayed for two nights 13th -!5th February. From other reviews, you already know that it's on the outskirts of the main city but super easy to get to with a bus stop and metro a short walk away and the tram a little further. We made use of the GVB ticket which meant you could travel on all of these really easily. I only mention this because some reviews have this as a minus point and it really isn't.

The important things for me are the room and the staff. We had a double room without windows which was absolutely excellent and great value for money. Everything worked, it had a very comfortable bed which was huge and a really nice shower. The room was super quiet due to the lack of windows and also this was a benefit when we were sleeping when the winter sun came up. The room had wi-fi which was fast and free and there was a little kettle and coffee machine with a selection of teas and coffees. the room was huge with plenty of room for cases etc. The room was very clean and tidy, the cleaning staff did an excellent job and were very friendly.

We had breakfast included with our room and the restaurant again was excellent. There was a good choice of hot and cold foods for every taste and a chef who would do freshly prepared eggs if you asked nicely, which of course we did. We didn't try out the restaurant in the evening, but it must be be good as it was packed with a lively atmosphere when we came back to the hotel in the evening, as was the bar. If you are looking for somewhere to eat in the vicinity of the hotel there are plenty of little takeaway type places all within a couple of minutes walking distance.

All of the staff we met were really helpful and spoke English fluently, nothing was too much trouble. A special shout out to Valentine, Fatima and Melan (Hope I spelt these correctly) who made our stay special. Would I stay there again? Absolutely.

Thank you for your fantastic review! We're delighted to hear that you had such a great stay with us and that you found our location convenient, despite being slightly outside the city center. Our team works hard to ensure that every guest has a clean and relaxing space, so it’s great to know you appreciated their efforts. Absolutely wonderful stay. New, chic, clean, comfortable, and gave a calming ambiance of style. Loved to have a restaurant on site to grab a quality bite when tired. Breakfast buffet was tasty, but would have loved to have more overnight oats! (They were not always out). There is even a self-checkout area with drinks to quickly grab hydration on the way in or out. The beds were comfortable. The showers were fabulous and roomy with two shower head options (rain and removable wall heads). There was a thermostat in the room to easily program the room temp. The staff were friendly and accommodating. In an area that is about 20 min from Amsterdam Central but found quicker routes into the city center. A grocery store one block away to pick up emergency needs. The only suggestion I have is to place a full length mirror in all rooms. Ours did not have one. I felt safe traveling with my 15 year old daughter in and out of this area, but there is a strip we would walk through to get to and from one of the nearby tram stations that was consistently, heavily populated by men that gathered to socialize. We would tolerate the stares for about a min on each trek to then feel 100% safe again. Will definitely stay here again!

We visited Amsterdam for a 3 day city break and at first looked for air BnBs but the Met was better value. We definitely made the right decision to stay here.

It is placed a nice distance outside of the centre (around 30 minutes which allows you to see more of the area)but the 18 bus stops nearby and the Postjesweg metro stop is only a 5 minute walk. Public transport is excellent and cheap (21 euros for a 3 day travel card).

A lot of effort has clearly been made with all aspects of the hotel and we greatly appreciated this. The rooms are a good size, smart and have an excellent shower. The restaurant was very good and we had a hearty breakfast each morning and a very nice dinner too. The bar very welcoming and a nice relaxing place to end the day.

The staff were all very friendly and attentive and made us feel welcome from the first minute until we left.

We would definitely stay at the Met again next time we are in Amsterdam. Many thanks to all of the staff who helped to make our trip a very enjoyable one.

probably one of the best hotels i’ve ever stayed at. me and my partner were visiting amsterdam for 4 nights (mon-fri) until i realised sunday night at midnight the hotel we booked for was 21+ only, my fault for not reading the hotels website. anyways managed to book met hotel sunday night for check in monday, fairly decent price and looked good on the pics. we arrived at 2pm monday and were able to check into our room an hour early, the reception, corridors and room were all spotless. we felt 100% safe and secure at all times during our stay, the staff were friendly and helpful at all times. the centre is about 20-30 mins on train, there are 2 stations within 5 mins walk of the hotel that take you directly to the centre, and it’s only 1 stop on the train from the airport. definitely recommend to everyone, we will be staying here again in the future!!

Book directly with the hotel , after recommendations from internet modern hotel extremely well done with all the latest electronic elements , large rooms super bathroom very well designed tasteful and clean the bar restaurants similar standards nice decent breakfast staff very professional , pleasant and helpful.
The only thing is the location and surrounds are abandoned and dirty like Amsterdam town centre is too, now local authorities are not interested y cleaning or maintenance this country was not like that 15 years ago .
The hotel is close to bus, metro and train 7/8 minutes get the information at the hotel and it will save you time trouble .

You'd need to train/subway (station less than 2 blocks away) to the central station downtown and then the cruise port is walkable, 10-15 mins.
