Inntel Hotels Amsterdam Landmark has a cool character that is inspired by the area’s industrial past. It is the place to spend the night, dine in Bar & Brasserie Werkspoor, organise business events and fully unwind in Spa Steam. The wellness centre has a swimming pool, Turkish bath, sauna and massage room. In addition, all luxury room types are equipped with a round whirlpool in the room and/or a private sauna. Relax in the trendy and luxurious rooms with a beautiful view of the Amsterdam skyline. Industrial craftsmanship is reflected in the design of the 16-storey hotel. Raw concrete, massive metal columns and even a life-size yellow crane house make this Inntel Hotels’ coolest hotel. The industrial elements fit both the history and the future of the popular Oostenburg district. In the rooms, the theme is carried through to the smallest detail, thanks to the custom-made interior. The location on the water provides both an idyllic and city view of Amsterdam. The tracks that lead to Amsterdam Central Station, the water of the Wittenburgervaart and the still active industries on the quay. The industrial and artistic character of Oostenburg makes this area the ‘little Berlin’ of our capital. Inntel Hotels has respect for man and the environment and is eager to contribute to the care for a healthy planet and fine society. With the Surprisingly Sustainable programme we are working toward a sustainable future.

We really love a hotel with a whirlpool bath, something the Inntel chain provides in most of its locations. We went for the Landmark location because it was €400 cheaper for 3 nights than the 'Inntel Amsterdam Centre' location.
In total our Ubers and Trams came to less than €100 for the 4 days we were there. So ask yourself is saving €300+ worth it to take 15min extra to get back to the hotel every night compared to a city centre hotel?
The number 7 tram will get you from the Hotel to the Rijksmuseum in 20min, via the Heineken Experience or stay on it a bit longer and head towards Anne Franks House.
The Central Station is also only 20min away, door to door via the number 26 tram.
Our room was a Wellness Panorama Room on the 16th floor facing the city and the water. We really enjoyed sitting in the whirlpool bath, drinks in hand, looking out over the city. This was sparkling clean when we arrived and after every maid visit. As was the rest of the room. The bed was very comfortable with quality bedding. I know everyone is different but they were some of the best hotel pillows I have ever slept on.
The Minibar is empty, but I've never bought anything from a hotel minibar ever, perfect for you to fill it yourself with your own items.
The local neighbourhood is upscale with gourmet shops and cafes.
No passwords needed for the WiFi and it was incredibly fast.

Some negatives. The room is incredibly dark. We spent 30min trying to find switches to lights that aren't there. It desperately needs another lamp.
There is a lot of construction in the immediate location, nothing we could hear in our room, but walking around there is a lot of heavy machinery driving about and there isn't a clear defined path from the hotel to the main street. In a few years time this area will no doubt be finished to a high standard, but it's not there yet.
We could smell weed whenever we opened our balcony doors, despite being told drugs were banned in the hotel and threatened with a €150 bill if they're used. I don't think they enforce it though.
The pool was very cold, perfect for August, not so good in December.
No bedside table on one side, a tiny one on the other. The large flat headboard came in use for keeping my phone and a drink.

In summary I would stay there again. The quality of the room and the low price compared to similar quality city centre locations made it a worthwhile stay.

This hotel is a bit difficult to review because it should have an excellent rating but falls short in significant ways.
First the good. Excellent Wellness room. We loved the layout, the location looking out over the water and the hot tub and sauna in the room! What a nice setup for less money than you might expect. We used the hot tub several times and though it did not go through it’s automated cleaning procedure after draining, it was extremely relaxing. The front desk personnel were extremely nice and tried to be helpful although they missed our wake up call early the day we left which could have been disastrous. Fortunately I’m a light sleeper.
We loved the surrounding neighborhood and found cafes and restaurants we’d love to return to with friendly proprietors and really great food.

The bad: The room was way way too dark. Almost dangerously so. Bring your own light source. The dining room frankly, was extremely poorly managed. Food took up to an hour to get to us and you might very well be ignored for a long time before getting an order taken and met with rudeness if you find someone to take the order without waiting for them. We inexplicably had difficulty getting a copy of our dining receipt for reimbursement for the company paying for our stay when dining was charged to our room. We needed to keep dining separate from lodging but had to battle with rude waiters/managers to get them. The customer is definitely not always right in the dining area. Be prepared. We stopped using dining halfway through our 10 day stay and found cafes and restaurants around the area with great food and that never argued with us once. Housekeeping could be improved but was not a big plus or minus.
Will we return? If we bring extra lighting for the room and don’t use the dining room, possibly. The shame of it is, this hotel should rank way more highly.

Dear gmbrash, Thank you for your review. It's a pleasure to read the wellness facilities together with the service at reception made you experience a comfortable stay at our unique location. We are grateful for the feedback about the lighting and are looking for ways to improve on this. The ideas of our hotel guests are important for us to exceed expectations. Our sincere apologies for the experience you have had in our restaurant. This is most certainly not our standard and the situation has been shared with the restaurant manager to prevent it from happening again in the future. We hope to get a chance to welcome you back again for your next visit to Amsterdam. Kind regards, Sophie - Guest Relations

Nice hotel bit out of the way on old Oosterdok/Osterburg area, Looks out on the water, our 'city panoramic room' looked on the sandpits alongside the train tracks into Centraal station.

The hotel is pleasant if a bit difficult for our booking.com deluxe taxi transfer driver from Schipol. Pur room was fine but a bit noisy, not sound proofed from the trains that whislte by during the night.

None the less its compfortable and good wetroom shower that tended to spill over into the rest of the bathroom. Standard dispenser toiletries. good towels and very clean.

Excelllent wifi and tea and coffee making in the room abeilt like Barbie- 'life in plastic is fantastic' for cups and glasses. The breakfasts were excellent for choice and quality of the food. Loved the salmon and cold meats choice. Great fresh fruit choice.

We arrived too late for food (shuts circa 9pm) but looked good and not too expensive. lots of folk seemed to be ordering pizzas or McDonald's or KFC on Friday night and just eat or deliveroo kept ariving everyone few minutes.

The dock in front of the hotel is a suntrap in the evenings and nice area for food or a drink

Dog friendly and foyer was like Crufts on occasion. There are a few nice looking restaurants on Ostenburgmiddenstraat close by, but none appeared to be open on Saturday 29.07.23 so we took the #7 tram into town.

Staff are nice and friendly in an 'efficient way'. There is a small pool and sauna and spa but we didn't get to use it.

Our only gripe was that in the home of bookings.com that one was not able to get a late checkout as per Genius level 2 benefits. It was €25 to checkout at 3pm as opposed to 11am (on a Sunday as out flight was a 5.10pm.

Not a cheap hotel so thought they might be a tad more flexible.
On balance its good but not an 'awesome' experience, not sure would book again.

I stayed here with friends last week and we had an amazing time. I felt like I needed to write a review as some previous reviews do not seem fair! The hotel is stunning - newly built and with a really cool/industrial vibe. The room lighting is very relaxing and the bathrooms are luxurious. There is some construction work going on around the hotel but with the windows shut you can't hear a thing, all of our rooms were really sound-proof - very impressed! The views are still stunning despite construction work in the area.

Check in was very easy, reception staff were friendly. The housekeeping was amazing, every day we came back to freshly tidied rooms with new towels/bath mats. Rooms were very clean. We enjoyed using the gym & pool which are available for guests to use. Towels are provided in the pool area so you don't need to use your bedroom towels. We bought breakfast on the last morning, it was a little pricey but there was lots of choice and we were impressed.

The hotel is a little out of the centre but I enjoyed the peace and quiet! There are plenty of shops/cafes/supermarkets in the surrounding area. It is only a short walk to the nearest tram stop which takes you to Centraal Station in 5 mins and there are also buses nearby. It is super easy to get around, especially if you have a GVB travel pass (20 euros for 3 days, unlimited tram/bus/metro).

Will definitely recommend this hotel to others and hope to be back one day. Thank you guys!

We landed early morning around 9am on the 4th of july and we rang on the off change we could have a early check in! We checked in a 11am amazing no extra charge and check in was super easy.

Cleaners always kepts the room up to sratch and always went in the room when we was out so no pressure to leave at a certain time with fresh towels and clean bedding.

Central area just one row away from central amsterdam and I would day 5/8min walk away from the train station. located around take outs, mini supermarks and lovely resteraunts just outside the hotel

24 hour reception always sombody on happy to help.

We booked breakfast always the night before and we could go from 7am-10am food was great for breakfast and the area always kept clean and food also hot!!

Our room had a huge bed I would say this was a queen bed. The jaccuiz was amazing really powerfull and had LED lights in and the cleaners always left us bath salts to use.

We had a walk in shower with a large vanity space to get ready.

The gym they offer is quite and very modern and the sauna and steam room is great and is located on level 2 and open untill 10pm at night so you can go relax after walking around the city.

Great for a relaxing hotel in a busy city.

I would stay again and reccomend to close freinds or family.

We chose this hotel because it’s was away from the city centre and somewhere slightly quieter so the location was a bonus for us. I know others have raised the issue about it being far from the centre which it is if you are walking but by tram it is 15 mins and an easy journey.

The rooms do have a wow factor when you first see them but quickly you realise that it is style of substance and the lack of facilities is concerning. This evident by the projection of ‘Intel Hotels’ over the bed which is ridiculous but useless and actually pretty annoying as you can’t turn off the projection without turning off all the lighting:

And that is a major problem because the lighting is so bad. So dark and you cannot see your clothes or in our case our front door! We had to use a torch against the key card as the the lighting in the corridor was disgraceful. There was no where to hang clothes as no rail was provided and when the lighting issue was raised with reception they did absolutely nothing. I was travelling with elderly relatives and when we raised the issue about lighting in both our rooms, was told it was the style of the room. In my elderly relatives case the room was pitch black In the corridor and that is just dangerous. This means that your style of rooms is exclusive and is discriminating against people as you refused to provide a suitable level of lighting. It seems you only want young people staying here who just care about style rather substance and as a young person myself I find that abhorrent.

Reading other reviews, the dangerous lighting levels have been raised many times and yet nothing is being done about it.

I would strongly recommend not staying here. The rooms are overpriced and the staff do not care about service. Plus every where is a construction site.

My advice to hotel staff, stop ignoring the poor reviews and do something about the lighting. You have a law suit waiting to happen and when it does it will be from your negligence and desire to create a room that prioritises style over substance that will be your downfall.

The one good thing is the view over the water but be warned only the really expensive rooms have this view, cheaper rooms are of a noisy construction site or noisy railway.

Overall this hotel is NOT worth the money;

1, Reception staff took around 15min to acknowledge we were stood there when we arrived. Too busy looking busy on the phones.

2. The decor of the room we had (16th floor - spa room) are awful. Yes they are industrial, but they are dark and have a grim feeling about them.

3. Although we had a spa room, the complimentary items you usually see in hotels were not there. No complimentary water, biscuits and even normal coffee! (we only had decaf)

4. When we called for room service we were told it was £7.50 for the privilege. Either do room service or dont!

5. The view of the construction site was not mentioned on booking.com. We could not fully enjoy the Spa bath as we had construction workers with a nice view of us the entire time. Not to mention being woken up by huge construction lights and noise at 6am in the morning !

6. We got breakfast but my partner is a vegetarian - this hotel DOES NOT cater for vegetarians

The only good thing i would mention is the spa and pool facilities.

Overall, this hotel is a let down.

Really nice hotel! Well located - 10 minute walk from the tram, 30 minute walk to Dam Square or a 17 EURO Uber. Hotel is on the water, really pretty location. Yes there is some industrial work going on, but we did not notice the noise at all. We stayed in a twin city room, two single beds, a desk, chair, space to put your suitcase and the bathroom had a shower. All really clean & smart. Toilettes are hand wash at the sink and a hair/body wash 2-in-1 in the shower. We used the swimming pool and spa facilities and they were clean & well looked after. I would definitely stay here again.

We accidentally booked this hotel, thinking we had booked the Inntel central. I got in touch with them to see what we could do, thinking it might be possible to transfer to the central hotel which was in the same group. Whilst I understood and accepted the hotel's position on not modifying the booking, I found them to extremely inflexible and impersonable. After a few days of back and forth, we accepted there was nothing we could do and we'd make the best of it. However, as we were en route to the airport on the day of our booking, we received multiple messages from booking.com to let us know that our cancellation request was accepted by the hotel and they had agreed to waive the cancellation fee. Given we were on our way to the hotel, this was hugely unsettling. I phoned the hotel who then accused me of cancelling it, which was absolutely not the case. They let me know that the booking was still available and they had made a note to add some drinks to the room to mark our celebration. I was at my wits end by this stage and so just wanted to confirm that we had a room when we arrived.

When we got there, check in was easy enough but the room was dark with an impractical layout eg the transparent screen in the bathroom with no privacy, and plugs on the other side of the room. We were also disappointed that after all that palaver and being told there would be the nice touch of some drinks in the room for our special occasion, there was absolutely nothing. Not even a bottle of water in the empty mini fridge. This was shame and confirms to me this hotel doesn't invest enough in their customer care.

More generally, the bar is ok but the service is slow - they never seemed to have enough staff. The location is not as bad as some other reviews on here - it's a 6 min walk to the tram which gets you into central in 10 mins. We didn't experience any of the construction noise mentioned either as we were there on a weekend. We could hear the trains but with the windows closed, it was quiet. The bed is also super comfortable.

All in all a mixed bag. I'd say if you want to be in the heart of Amsterdam book a more central hotel but if you want to save some money, then this hotel is passable.
