Wow, words and pictures don’t do this hotel justice. The decor is unique and flamboyant whilst being modern and functional. It is immaculately clean and quality furnishings. The carpet is thick and comfy underfoot, the bathroom tiles shine and the fixtures are quality. Even the bedding, mattress and pillows are high end and the beautiful white sheets are ironed to a crisp just as I like it. We had coffee machine, bottled water and a fridge filled with soft drinks which was replenished daily. The hotel even left a welcome note and sweets for us. Even coffee cups and glasses in the room were beautiful.

However beyond the basics necessities of a hotel room the staff go above and beyond to help you. It was my daughter’s birthday and we were trying to find an Italian restaurant with availability to book 6. The hotel went out of their way to help and contacted different restaurants to help us. The hotel also helped with information on tourist attractions and gave us a map and circled main points of interest. We went to the bar for drinks one being and again the staff were so welcoming and the decor is again amazing. Even public toilets downstairs from reception was beautiful and smelt divine. I had Aprol Spritz and the bar tender brought it over for us in beautiful crystal cocktail glass and it was delicious. We didn’t sample the food but if it’s as good as everything else I imagine it would be great.

Such an amazing hotel and I’d defy anyone to complain here. I can be fussy but this hotel surpassed my expectations and can’t wait to come back. Thank you for an amazing stay.

I stayed in the Toren over Kings Day (note I did not plan to be in AMS over Kings Day — I just got lucky). I was concerned that with the Torens AMAZING location in the middle of everything, it would be loud and I’d get zero sleep as I’m a light sleeper — that was not the case at all. The property was so quiet and peaceful — I didn’t hear a single bit of late night partying. This was one of the cleanest hotel rooms I’ve ever been in and they provide you with a complimentary water each night which is truly the key to me giving a property a five star review. The staff was so lovely and as mentioned, the hotel is perfectly positioned in the middle of everything! It is so easy to get around to all the attractions! I didn’t experience the food or the bar, but I heard from locals that it’s
a great spot to grab cocktails!

I visited Amsterdam with my daughter and stayed at The Toren Hotel for 4 nights. Amsterdam is our favourite city and we have visited it many times and stayed in a number of different hotels. I would rate The Toren very highly for a number of reasons, to include polite and friendly staff, cleanliness, comfort and location. The double glazing is very effective and although there is a popular pub nearby, we could not hear any noise. The heavy curtains are also very effective in keeping out the early morning light. A bottle of water is supplied daily and a personalised note to greet guests is placed in the room. We will undoubtedly return to the Toren.

I changed my original hotel booking to the Toren mainly because it was a more central location as well as being a boutique hotel which I usually prefer. I am glad I made the change.

I walked from the train central station to the hotel which only took just over 15 minutes. Check in was efficient and staff were friendly and took me to my room, while reviewing their services. There was a handwritten welcome note in the room which was a nice touch.

I was in room 115 on the 1st floor, one floor up from the main. it's was small, but cozy and comfortable, with a very good size bathroom. The bed and sheets were very soft. There was bottle water, small fridge with couple complimentary pops and coffee/tea maker.

The morning breakfast was included and cooked to order with very attentive service. Good selection and easy to order exactly what you want.

I stayed 3 nights and the location proved to be ideal, quiet street close to most attractions (although everything in Amsterdam is close).

My only minor issue was the slow speed of there internet service, it was barely 2 Mbps, which is okay for basic email, and some browsing, but not good for videos or streaming. I don't expect super fast speed, but in 2023 it was considerably slower than most hotels I have stayed at. Other than that i was an very good experience and I would recommend the hotel to anyone.

We chose this hotel for its position, the good ratings on TA and it style, and it did not disappoint overall. The service from all the staff was very friendly and efficient. They provided lots of useful information about restaurants and how to travel to the hotel before we even arrived.
We were very pleased to find that we had been upgraded on our room, which gave us a little more space during our 4 night stay. The room itself felt spacious due to the high ceiling, tall windows and open plan bathroom. We are not so much a fan of open-plan bathrooms, but this did have a curtain that could be pulled round to provide some privacy, and the toilet is separate. There were a couple of disappointing aspects (hence only 4 stars); the bed wasn't a double but two singles pushed together; the shower looked good but the rain head was disappointing, and the window lock was broken, so was a bit drafty.
However, the breakfast was great value, you could choose as much as you wanted and the staff bent over backwards to meet any requests. The bar was really stylish and the cocktails were great. And the position was ideal in a quieter part of town, so ideal for exploring the canal area.

My partner and I recently spent two nights at The Pavilions Amsterdam, and it was just fantastic! Located in a quiet area yet easily accessible, the hotel offers the perfect balance between relaxation and proximity to the city.

Accommodation:
We had the pleasure of staying in a cozy garden hut. This was not only very stylishly decorated, but also extremely clean and well maintained. The private terrace was a wonderful place to start the day with a cup of coffee.

Cleanliness:
The cleanliness in our room and public areas was remarkable. You immediately noticed that great importance is attached to hygiene, which is particularly important for us.

Personnel:
The staff was very accommodating and helpful. Upon our arrival we were warmly welcomed. Since we arrived with our private car, the staff could help us with various services. It was clear to feel that the team always tried to make our stay as pleasant as possible.

Conclusion:
We had a wonderful stay and can recommend The Pavilions Amsterdam to any couple looking for a romantic break in Amsterdam. The combination of first-class service, idyllic accommodation and a great location made our getaway perfect. We will definitely come back!

We recently returned to The Toren for a short Amsterdam city trip.

Being closely located to shops, restaurants and historical sites, the location of the hotel is fantastic for roaming around the city.

All employees of the property that we encountered or interacted with during our stay were incredibly welcoming and kind.

The rooms radiate opulence and came with some refining touches which sets The Toren apart from other city hotels:
Upon arrival, we encountered a personalized welcome card along with a jar of nuts, the bathroom was equipped with a quality brand hair dryer and comfy house slippers, the mini bar was stocked with four soft drinks that were included in the room rate.

While the hotel exactly delivers on what it promises, I would also like to highlight some areas of improvement:
During our previous travels, the bar soap in the room was from the upscale line Maison Margiela. Nowadays, all bathroom amenities are provided by The Spa Collection which feels like a small downgrade on the amenities-front.
During irregular intervals, the night rest was interrupted by either the AC unit (although turned off) or the heating unit (we were unable to detect the origin of the sounds) readjusting itself with some bubbling sounds.

In short and with all the above taken into consideration, The Toren is a safe choice for a 4*- quality accommodation for your travels to Amsterdam.

By far the most beautiful hotel my wife and I have ever stayed in! It's in the best location with numerous restaurants and tours within easy walking distance (I'm 71 with knee issues). And the staff, both before and during our stay, made us feel like extremely valued customers! First, they sent us nearby restaurant and tour recommendations prior to our stay. While they clearly stated they could not guarantee it, they managed to accommodate my need for a room with very few stairs (it was a free upgrade, to boot!). Since our river cruise got us into Amsterdam hours before check-in, Linda secured our luggage until our room was ready, so we could take her recommended canal tour with Flagship, which was an open boat, so no glaring glass through which to try to take photos. Upon checking in, there was a hand-written note welcoming us, along with a jar of chocolate. These little things meant so much to us! The bed and pillows were very comfortable, and the fluffy robes and slippers were also appreciated. Thank you, Linda and staff for our best hotel stay ever!!

My husband and I chose to stay at the Toren based on our trip advisor review and availability. We were absolutely overwhelmed by the hospitality of the staff. This is absolutely an exceptional hotel that provides a level of attention and care that is beyond what we have experienced in many other countries and areas of the world .
The staff’s attention to detail , and assistance with every part of our stay in Amsterdam and beyond was appreciated and on point . At the front desk, Linda , Vladi and David were every ready to help with local plans and regional tours .
Evangelos manages the gorgeous parlour and bar with personal attention and a warm embrace. Zita checks in on drinks and food preferences with a smile
Alex ( chef) creates delicious meal options that are beautifully prepared and presented
The hotel management is obviously outstanding and conveys the perfect message for hospitality and a cohesive team …
The location of this property as well as its beauty and historical relevance were also a tremendous part of our enjoyable stay. We were never more than a “ short walk away “. No Uber needed.
The personal connections with the team here are what made this experience very special and memorable.
We will come back and look forward to catching up with “ old friends”
Well done

Delightful deluxe room with canal view stay at The Toren in the Jordaan district of Amsterdam from August 24th - 28th . Great location punctuated by solid service with air conditioned comfort for the warmer months of the year. Uniquely designed room with a canal view that was spacious and comfortable. Outstanding bar staff could serve up a good Old Fashion or Manhattan even thought the bourbon selection was limited. Enjoyable breakfast and lunch and dinner menu building on relationship with nearby Black & Blue restaurant. Try the burger, fries, cheese plate and warm bread either in the lounge or as room service. Front desk responsiveness via room phone can be a little off at time. I would recommend this hotel for your next visit.

Unfortunately we have to inform you that we do no longer allow smoking in our hotel rooms. The Toren Hotel rooms are designed differently from other hotels, allowing for a real boutique atmosphere and guests will be sure of a truly unique experience in this special canal house property. We make use of a lot of fabrics in our design and we have noticed that the smoke drains into these fabrics. We have experienced that our rooms were not able to be cleaned entirely, which should result in a smoke free room for other guests. However we do offer an alternative in our lovely garden, where you are allowed to smoke. Next to the above we would like to take to opportunity to inform you that smoking cannabis is not allowed in the entire premises of our hotel (as regulated by Dutch law, this is only allowed in designated coffeeshops). We trust to have informed you sufficiently but please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any further questions Best regards ANnemieke
