Really nice hotel, just next to the tunnel. Great view from the room to the city and really close a lot of nationalty restaurant. The employees are very kind and helpful. There is a nice restaurant downstairs in the hotel, with a lot of special wine and food.

I stayed here for 3 nights while on a business trip. The staff were very helpful. I had left my phone in a taxi and they helped me recover it. Nothing was to much trouble for them. The room was quite spacious by Amsterdam standards and was very clean and tidy. Breakfast was inexpensive but very good with a variety...

We had a great stay at Dikker and Thijs. Perfect central location, there is a tram station right outside the hotel, and also a starbucks right there. The room was very spacious, homely furnished and had a lot of natural light. The rooms where also nicely heated. The receptionists where very helpful and helped us with information how to get...

Friendly convenient central hotel (especially when the tram that passes right by the hotel starts working again!). Spacious room with good view over canal. Good breakfasts apart from second rate coffee from a machine.

Second time in this hotel and I found a complimentary box of dutch cookies in room. Lovely. Kind personnel, clean room, well equipped, lovely sight on the channels and still very silent and quiet room. Great position for a walk downtown. Definitely my choice for Amsterdam.

This hotel is as everyone says in a great location, tram stop just metres from the door and in walking distance of lots of shops, restaurants, galleries etc. Our room on the 5th floor was great, lots of space, little balcony overlooking the canal and with views across the city. The decor is a bit dated and a chip in...

I spent ages reading reviews of hotels in Amsterdam before selecting this one, and it lived up to its good rating. Excellent location on Prinsengracht meant we were in the historic Canal Belt, right by the tram stop (to Central Station) and in walking distance from most places we wanted to visit. Clean comfortable room with a good shower (no...

Our room had a corner canal view and was huge! It was nicely furnished and was in a great location. Tram stopped right in front from train station. Everyone is especially friendly in Amsterdam and this old hotel is no exception. Loved the authentic architecture and walking the neighborhood. Really a gem when you want to avoid a hotel chain.

This property is really quite a gem. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is because it can be a touch noisy, as it is at the corner of a major tram stop. The hotel is not fancy, but it is a winner. It is very clean, comfortable and convenient. Because it's an old building there are...
