A good welcome from staff whose English was excellent. The rooms are quirky and comfortable with all the expected amenities and the hotel is situated very conveniently in the historic part of Amsterdam.
But a couple of disappointments. Firstly breakfast, at 21 Euros, seemed rather...More
This hotel ticks a lot of boxes. Very clean and looks very new inside, well kept. A five minute walk from Central station and not far too Dam square so a really good location. Rooms are very nice, nice bathroom and very comfy and large...More
Evert time i visit Amsterdam, then i need to be nearby the central station and downtown market for shopping. so, the best place to stay in a fancy place in Kimpton Hotel. the best and the only choice for me.
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring
hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.

Hello: I'm afraid I will not be any help with debit as we never use one. However I recommend calling the hotel as they are very helpful and will be able to answer your question. In terms of the budget for drinking I would have to say that it depends on what do you drink and how many. I would assume an average drink would be around €10. However hotel offers happy wine hour from 5 to 6 every day so if you like wine and you are not picky, then that would help.
By the way I suggest that you check their calendar for national holidays. We got lucky with Kings Day but I have been at other countries where their national holiday meant that everything was closed.
Let me know if I can answer any other questions.
