Stayed there only 1 night before our cruise. The hotel is huge with wall to wall people. Quite a view travel buses arrived and it seemed that this is hotel is primarily a favorite hotel for tour buses. The hotel is actually located fairly close to some sightseeing places, e.g. Anne Frank house and downtown. It was fine for our...

Location is perfect 5 min walking from central station. The hotel has a clean, modern design. Rooms are (unusually) spacious, cosy and Marriott beds always give me the impression of sleeping in the clouds. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Concierge team was incredible! From being widely knowledge regarding "What's happening in town today?" to where to find the best...

The Renaissance Hotel was nice but has a few flaws. Me and my boyfriend stayed two nights here. First we requested an early check-in and got a positive reply but upon arrival we had to leave our bags and wait 2 hours past the agreed time. There was construction happening outside so getting a good sleep wasn't a problem until...

The hotel was beautiful and luxurious, and the beds were extremely comfortable. The concierge was very helpful in getting us around town with walking directions/maps or taxis. Breakfast was a huge buffet with lots of choices and very good. The hotel is in walking distance to the Anne Frank House as well as to the red light district. A grocery...

Quaint hotel just 10 minute walk from the main train station. So many great bars and restaurants in the close vicinity. Red Light district is a 20 min walk. Nice rooms with decent executive lounge. Breakfast was pretty good.

Nice and peaceful stay. Quick walk from central station and great location for everything that you want to do in Amsterdam. I always felt very safe walking alone in the city to/from hotel, also at night. Room was typical and well appointed. I will stay here again for the right price. It was a little on the pricey side but...

This hotel is in a great location but is not 5 star quality! Our room faced the street outside and you can hear all outside noise due to the window being single glazed and it is extremely loud and busy throughout all hours. You can also hear other guests in their rooms coughing, TV loud, talking etc. Rooms not greatly...

Good location & good breakfast. Check in staff were great- very helpful. The room was a comfortable size, the housekeeping throughout the stay was good. Bed was comfortable and sleep quality was good. Bathroom was fine- they have bath tubs, steep ones at that, so please communicate any challenges to check in staff. Breakfast was good as were the concierge/...

Had a great guest experience at this hotel. When arriving I discovered that I had booked wrong dates. It was an exhibition in the city so most hotels were fully booked. The co-worker at the front desk solved it with a smile so I got a room and also a great first impression. The room was not very big but...

I had one night in this hotel. The room was nice and I had good comfortable sleep. Reception was really good if not a bit slow but very friendly and polite. So why only 3 stars! Neighbourhood Profile
Centrum
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.
