Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.

Our second visit to this hotel and for a City Centre location one of the best deals in town. Only down side for us this time was breakfast, as there was no cooked / hot offerings only cold continental style. One thing to note is that entrance to hotel is from a pedestrian zone

We had an overnight stay here. The staff were very helpful and friendly, check in was quick. Our room was small, but, reasonably well equipped. The bathroom was a joke. It was so small mainly due to the large wash basin . It took up too much room a slimmer rectangular one would

They offer a same day laundry service on weekdays. There's a bag in the room, drop it at reception and pick it up in the evening.

"Potential for weekend noise in rooms overlooking street"
"Take second floor. At third floor windows are at the ceiling area almost skylight, it gives light but you can't see and enjoy view."
"Ask for a room that is not on the top floor. You will probably get a window."
"If you came here to sleep, ask for a room in the rear,"
"Most of the rooms are not at the frontage, but that doesn't really matter because it's on a very quiet street."
