Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

-Excellent location in Amsterdam with bars, restaurants, cafes, shops on the doorstep. -Very friendly staff, especially the lady (Maria I think?) at reception. -Clean room and comfy beds with everything you could need there. -Had the option to store our luggage at the hotel before and after check out which was great when exploring the city. Thank you and we’ll definitely be back soon!

3 of us stayed in a triple room for one night whilst transiting through Amsterdam. Decent size room, very comfy beds, excellent location. Bathroom was tiny but shower was decent. Great value for money considering location. Would recommend

This place was excellent, friendly staff and couldn't be better located. Here for a gig and the football which was a bit of a journey out but this hotel was right on top of the metro stations. Loads of food places and bars around as well as other shops

Very basic and expensive for what you get. Deffo paying for the location. No amenities. Bottled water was not provided in the room. Available to purchase at reception. €500 plus for two nights. No air conditioning but a plug in fan was provided in the room. No lift but ok for us. Cramped bathroom. Staff are very nice.

We had asked for a twin room but got a double one on floor 4 plus some stairs down. Paid about 142 euro for a night in Augusti 2023. No elevator, small, steep stairs. Luckily my husband trains several times a day and carried our hand luggage bags all the way up and down. Room faced the busy, noisy street. Everything was ok. Fresh bathroom but the door didn´t even open half ways because it opened at the foot of the beds. Had to knock on the door before getting out so the other one did´nt pass outside, risking getting knocked. Reception is a small desk under the staircase. Small luggage room on floor 1. No breakfast or anything. OK receptionist. It was okay for just one night. For my next stay I have already booked another hotel because I will travel alone with a bigger checked-in bag. Anyway, we left happy. But be aware that soo many hotels in this city is like this one!

Have just came back from a 3 night stay and the hotel is central we could walk everywhere that we wanted to go and didn’t have to use public transport. I found our room ok it was small but it was good enough for us just to sleep as we was out all day. We was at the top of the building at the back and we couldn’t hear any noise from the busy street it is on. Walls are thin we could hear people in the other rooms but only moving about not so bad to be annoyingly loud. We was offered housekeeping everyday we just chose not to.

Very clean big room with 4 beds, good size bathroom as well, great location for walking into any central areas and only 10-15 minutes walk from train station, plenty of food right next door but quite loud late at night but that’s to be expected in a city centre

Spent 2 nights here and was woken up both mornings at 7:30am by multiple workers using power tools and hammers right outside our window and all around us. Even on the weekend. You might think that was street noise but we were on the 4th floor! Scaffolding surrounded the whole hotel and no warnings or apologies were issued. The stairs are extremely steep and shallow, so we were disappointed to be placed on the highest floor The room itself was ok, nothing to write home about

I stayed here from 12-15th. I emailed the hotel before I arrived to request a taxi from the airport (I did not realize there are plenty of taxis that collect you from outside the airport). When I arrived in Amsterdam I called to see if the taxi had been booked and I spoke to the manager who was extremely rude, told me that they did not know who I was and told me I wasn't staying at their hotel and bluntly told me to get a taxi from outside the airport. This should have been a foreshadowing of what was to come. I arrived at the hotel I was welcomed to a view of scaffolding covering the front of the hotel. We were splashed with water from the building work that was on going as we entered the hotel. We entered and there were hose pipes going through the hotel. The manager apologized and offered a free drink for being rude over the phone which was somewhat nice. The first morning we woke up at 8am to building work going on outside our window. Trying to sleep through it is impossible as the work going on was too loud, understandable because it was going on literally outside my window. I laid there naked in bed, and made eye contact with a building worker who laughed and probably thought "imagine paying money to stay at that hotel". Due to the noise the room was pretty much unusable from 8-5pm. I probably should have cancelled and found a different hotel but most hotels were booked up in the middle of summer and the stress of finding a hotel during what was supposed to be a relaxing holiday filled me with dread. This repeated every day 8am-5pm. The room was unusable and not fit for purpose. After we arrived home I called the hotel to express frustration and manager was extremely rude, spoke over me and did not do anything to resolve the issue. The manager himself even admitted he would not stay at the hotel. After a brief conversation the manager put the phone down on me and then would not answer the phone. I hope if anyone stays there they do not have any problems because the manager is extremely rude and will not help you.

Pros - The location is at the center of the market. Unfortunately, apart from the location there are no pros to this hotel. Cons - There is no lift. Stairs are steep and too small to place your feet. Hot water will only come after successful run of cold water for 10 minutes that too if you are lucky. Rooms are too small, not at all like the pictures you see. Constant noise of everything happening in other rooms. When we came to the hotel, we were informed there are 2 buildings within 10 meters of distance. However, the second building doesn't have any reception, so you can understand. Walls are as thin as paper, you can hear people going up and down, you can hear them dragging their luggage on the stairs instead of picking it up ( which was fine for me as that's the only option after few stairs and that's what I had to do). You will be hearing anyone opening tap, kids running on the top floor and stuff banging on the floor. Only solution to the above problem, explore the area as much as you can so that when you return you are tired as hell and you will be asleep within a few minutes without noticing any disturbance. Suggestion for Indian families - We tend to travel with heavy luggage. Please do not choose this stay at any cost, even if it's free because there is no one to help you and you have to drag your own heavy luggage to whichever floor you will get.
