This was our first trip to Amsterdam, and this hotel was a perfect choice for us. The location is ideal, on the Singel canal, close to the Central station. It is small, and has no restaurant, but they serve excellent breakfast, especially the bread is...More

My kids and I stayed at the Singel hotel during our time in Amsterdam. We loved the location, close to Centraal Station and pretty much everything was accessible by walking or taking a tram. The rooms were well appointed and the beds were the most...More
This was my third visit with friends to this hotel. Fab location right on the Singel canal, very close to centraal station and that whole area. Lovely staff, recently renovated, no complaints at all. Cant wait to return.
We had a cozy room with not much space to move around but loved the canal view, excellent self serve breakfast and every staff member warm, hospitable and courteous. Great location with easy access to Central station, main boulevards and legendary ‘nine streets’. At times...More
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring
hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.

As others have said, there is no air conditioning. There was a fan in our room. The windows do open, but I am not sure that will make it comfortable enough if it is really warm. Plus there is street noise at night... More
As others have said, there is no air conditioning. There was a fan in our room. The windows do open, but I am not sure that will make it comfortable enough if it is really warm. Plus there is street noise at night - especially on weekends - which would make it difficult to sleep.
