Canal Ring (Grachtengordel)
This UNESCO World Heritage Site is as historically significant as it is perennially popular. Whether you’re a history buff, architecture enthusiast, shutterbug, or fashionista, odds are you’ll find the Amsterdam you're looking for while roaming around the Grachtengordel (Canal Ring). A brilliant place to get lost in a moody meander and a key component to any sightseeing trip to Amsterdam, this area's major draws include the Anne Frank House, the Bloemenmarkt floating flower market, an enviable assortment of independent boutiques along De Negen Straatjes, and of course all of Grachtengordel’s lovely canals and bridges.

Overall, I'm glad we chose to stay in this hotel for our trip to Amsterdam. The staff was very helpful, they served a delicious breakfast, and the rooms were comfortable. The biggest issue I had is that you must walk down several steps to get inside the hotel, and we were told

Small hotel, very clean and professionally run. The location is perfect for business, pleasure and dining. Close to local and tourist neighbourhoods and Centraal Train Station. This hotel at 3 stars is better than other 4 star hotels I have stayed in.

Hotel is lovely. Situated in a quiet location overlooking the canals. 5 min walk from the centre. Only down side is the amenities for woman ie mirror should be by the windows for natural light as it is hard to get ready in artificial light. Staff could be a little more friendly

Although July is summertime in Amsterdam the temperature highs are usually still only in the low to mid 20s C. Fans and large opening windows are available in most rooms of the hotel which are adequate.

Our triple had a desk-suzed oscillating fan on one of the shelves. It was mid-August, and we didn’t use it

On our stay I was not aware of any A/C in the room. That said, we were there in early May and the room was quite comfortable with the windows open. I would send a quick email to the hotel from their site. The staff is very quick to respond to any questions like this.

As others have said, there is no air conditioning. There was a fan in our room. The windows do open, but I am not sure that will make it comfortable enough if it is really warm. Plus there is street noise at night - especially on weekends - which would make it difficult to sleep.
