Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We stayed in the Rembrandt room and it was very luxurious. The hotel staff were all very friendly with nothing being too much trouble. Breakfast in the room and the spa were great and the location was ideal for seeing the sights of Amsterdam. I would highly recommend staying in this hotel for a special occasion when visiting Amsterdam

Hotel's Favourite
We had a lovely four night stay at Hotel The Noblemen. We chose the hotel as the location was perfect, and the rooms were all so interesting. This is not a cookie-cutter hotel room. Each of the 13 rooms are distinctive and decorated to honor an illustrious Dutchman. The Michiel DeRuyter room's decor celebrated the Dutch Naval Admiral. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming. They provided information, directions, suggestions, scheduled our taxi to the airport, and delivered a wonderful breakfast to our room each morning! While the hotel is situated on a small, quiet canal - all of the main sights, restaurants, and shopping areas are within easy walking distance. We had a lovely holiday in Amsterdam, and Hotel the Nobleman was a great stay!

We were in Amsterdam as a celebration trip and found the hotel and its location to be ideal. The hotel is clean, quiet and it is clear to see the staff pay attention to the details. Speaking of the staff, everyone was very pleasant and helpful. The room was excellent (we stayed in the Trip Brothers). Plenty of space and really well put together. We found the location of the hotel to also be excellent. It’s relatively central so most things were within a 5-15 minute walk. The area of the hotel was very quiet which made it nice to retire back from the busy centre. We would definitely recommend the hotel to anyone. We’d also likely stay again when we return to Amsterdam.

My wife and I had a fantastic stay. Breakfast was delicious, the spa was gorgeous and peaceful, and the staff was so kind and helpful. The hotel is quiet and relaxing, but a quick walk to everything. It's a perfect way to experience Amsterdam. We will 100% be back.

Really beautiful boutique hotel in an old amsterdam listed building. The room was a double overlooking the canal - with a massive kingsize plus bed, copper bathtub and gorgeous shower, surrounded by antique furniture and features from a herbal and taxidermy old Amsterdam figurehead . Breakfast in bed was a treat and the spa facilities were top end 5 star sauna and steam room - very private. But the best feature of the hotel was the staff who could not do enough to help. For a truly romantic and private getaway I would definitely recommend the hotel. There are alot of stairs which did not bother me at all but could the unfit! All the hotel needs is a little private snug/ bar for the ultimate in hideaway romance!

At the one end this is a property which from an architectural and design perspective is an absolute 10. After that, the plaudits will be few and far between. If you’re looking for attentiveness, availability, and service , prepare yourself for extreme disappointment. The front desk is seldomly occupied. If you wish to speak to reception, you will be dumbfounded by an intercom system which at times gets you to a third party operator. Rooms were not made up unless I specifically asked and sheets were not changed . At then end of the day ‘management ‘ is totally absent.

A week getaway with my wife decided on staying at Hotel the Noblemen. We made the choice for the Rembrandt room. Pros: 1. The hotel staff was easily the best staff anyone could ask for, very attentive, courteous and helpful. The hotel staff was always smiling and wanting to go the extra to help. 2. I can go on and on about the room however you have seen the pictures and the room is bigger in person. 3. The location is perfect a semi quiet street but within walking distance to shopping and the flower market. The museum requires uber. Cons 1. lighting maybe an issue for some. Ladies will need additional lighting for makeup. I read that on an earlier review and brought additional lights. 2.stairs, stairs stairs lol 3. Americans are accustom to face wash cloths and there was none

Super overnight stay with a beautiful room (Cornelis Drebbel). We were very kindly received by Arnold, who was very helpful and explained everything about the hotel well. The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was nice with two shower heads. Would definitely recommend this and perhaps stay over again

Seriously one of my favorite hotels in the world. After many hours of travel, being handed a cappuccino upon arrival was so perfect. The vibe of the hotel is seamless luxury, and the staff have absolutely mastered delivering that experience. Booked two rooms for our family of 4 and both were phenomenal (Boerhaave and de Ruyter) Will absolutely be back!!

We stayed in the Herman Boerhaave room in mid December 2023. The staff was great to work with as I was making my reservation. The location was Absolutly perfect for 3 days in Amsterdam. Our room was extremely dark. Artwork and decorations are displayed through the room. In the corner of the room is a floor to ceiling glass case with a hanging skeleton ! The bedside table displayed surgical tools. The bathroom is a shower room…..the only mirror is in that room and the electrical outlet is under the sink. Needless to say I could not stand on the wet floor to dry my hair. Again I will say…..the location is great and the bed was very comfortable…….. but unfortunately I am not able to give this hotel a better review.
