Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Stayed in Atlas Vondelpark for 3 nights in February coming to ISE trade show.

The room was very small, double bed also not “king-size”. No wardrobe, only a some ikea shelving unit. Small bathroom with a shower. Surprisingly good Wi-Fi though.

Limited breakfast choices but you can still get full-English or continental breakfast. Coffee machine was broken so we only got brewed coffee.

Neighborhood is very nice, away from hordes of tourists but still in easy reach of all central attractions. Vondelpark is a beauty, even in winter! Tram #2 stop is just around the corner. 5 minutes walk to #397 express bus to/from Schiphol.

The price (200+ EUR /night) was too much for the service offered but I suppose demand for hotel rooms was very high because of the trade show. 100 EUR /night seem to be adequate.

Although about 3km from the centre of Amsterdam this hotel is in the quieter classier museum quarter and is great value for money. The guy on reception is really helpful and even made us coffee and pastries while we waited to check in. Rooms are of a good size, clean with some nice free goodies. It’s only a few minutes from Dam square on the metro.

I hate to say anything negative because the staff we met were so friendly and helpful but the hotel is really shabby. Our room was run down and very basic; I thought it could use a complete overhaul. We didn’t have basics like a hair dryer or iron but did have a safe, TV and kettle.
Aside from the shabbiness my main issues was the bed. The bed was so uncomfortable, I didn’t sleep well at all.
However the location is great, right next to the park and a short walk to public transport, I did walk in to the city centre one morning and it took about 40mins. The area around is beautiful too, very quiet part of the city with fab restaurants and bars.
Overall though I wouldn’t stay here again unfortunately.

My husband and I have stayed at Atlas on two occasions (1 an extended stay)
During theese difficult times we came to appreciate their authentic daily efforts to make us feel comfortable and for their vision in flexibility.
We would especially like to mention the professionalism and warmth of Rashida but also Jilbertho,Julia & Elroy whose service far exceeds the three stars of the hotel. It is easy to see that they are a good team that work well together with quality service.

The hotel has an elevator and an inviting sitting room.
Coffee machine for your convenience for free
and fresh fruit is available as well
If you need your laundry done the team will do it for you.
Our bathroom was "cosy" but the room quiet and spaceaus.
I will absolutley recommend this hotel to anyone visting.
Nina

We had a great stay here. The hotel worker made sure to help us out with where we should go. The bed was SO comfy, best one I’ve slept in since being in Europe. You can rent bikes here for the same price as anywhere else and biking is truly the way to go in the city. Close to the tram and museums!

Although in a great location Hotel Atlas is basically nothing more than a hostel with the cheapest most basic facilities money can buy. We had 2 single beds in a room that could barely accommodate 1 bed. Up there with some of the worst places I have stayed. The reception was only open from 3pm due to maintenance

My boyfriend and me had a very nice stay over New Years Eve. Very helpful and polite staff and a cosy hotel. Not the most expensive place in Amsterdam and it delivered good accomodation.

Like everyone here mentions it's situated well. Close to museums (Van Gogh and Rjiksmuseum) and Vondelpark, to good restaurants (I recommend Pompa) and supermarket, and it is also close to the bus which will take you to the airport.

The hotell itself was quiet and room was good. It was peaceful. Breakfast was also satisfying..

The staff was excellent. They were not only friendly in nature, but also helped us order tickets and let us keep our bags there after we checked out, so we were able to roam the city before we went to the airport.

All in all we had a very pleasant stay.

I usually write personally to any hotel to share Feedback. This time, i want to share it here since the hotel Owner is simply ignorant and its all about the money. I made a non refundable reservation back in May. As I am fully aware of the rules that apply, i did however asked for their support and eventual refund due to the death of my mother. It was declined and even commented with, well you booked non refundable. I am aware but even though i booked non refundable plane tickets, Austrian did reimburse. Its called human decency. After 4 weeks, I emailed the hotel again, asking for any acknowledgment. No reaction and simply irgnoring me. If thats how you want to make business, i wish you best of luck.

I made a reservation for a wrong date, and called back within a few minutes to correct the reservation. The staff was however very difficult and not willing to work with me to find a solution. I still had to pay the FULL amount, and was not able to change the date, get a refund coupon or nothing. Incredibly bad service for a hospitality business! I definitely don't recommend going here, as the staff will not help at all to resolve any problems.

Old and more house-like than hotel-like in room design and setup. Definitely not modern, but clean, cozy, and comfortable. Friendly staff and great, tasteful breakfast! Far from “downtown” (didn’t stop us from exploring the city by foot), but a short walk both to the park and Amsterdam’s major museums. Enjoyed our stay here!
