Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)
Top sites to see in this attractive and affluent part of town include the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum, to name but two of the highly acclaimed museums of the aptly named Museum Quarter. And if you need a break from all the fantastic art, there’s the Neoclassical Concertgebouw music hall and Vondelpark, the city’s largest park. Shopaholics and luxury brand connoisseurs will love exploring the high-end shopping destinations of PC Hooftstraat, Van Baerlestraat, Cornelis Schuytstraat, and Jacob Obrechtstraat, where even the shop window displays are of museum quality. In the evenings, when the museums close and the daytrippers head home, the area becomes a quiet oasis of calm with a sophisticated and urbane tone.

The hotel is well located near the museums and has great access to Amsterdam centre. This 4 storey 3 star hotel is run by a lovely family that are friendly and keen to please. Perfect hotel for those people that just want a nice quiet place to stay doesn't offer many luxuries

We payed 164 euro/ night for this “3 star hotel”. We booked a double room, but we recieved a small room with two single beds put together! Totally not worth the 3 stars. Thanks God we had booked just one night here! Total dissapointment!

This is much more hostel, than a hotel. Not to mention 3 star. .. Small room, no facilities, dirty outlook. The stuff is not so friendly at all. You can hear your neighbour breathing. The only good thing is a location.

Small but clean rooms, near to museums, near to public transportation. The breakfast was good until we saw that receptionist prepared the breakfast with her hands without wearing gloves. The staff was very polite and helpful.

Hotel Sander is a quiet and comfortable little hotel in a picturesque area of Amsterdam. It is around 2 minutes walk from the Rijks and Van Gough museums as well as multiple restaurants, cafes and shops. The rooms are a little basic but are very comfortable.
