Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)
Top sites to see in this attractive and affluent part of town include the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum, to name but two of the highly acclaimed museums of the aptly named Museum Quarter. And if you need a break from all the fantastic art, there’s the Neoclassical Concertgebouw music hall and Vondelpark, the city’s largest park. Shopaholics and luxury brand connoisseurs will love exploring the high-end shopping destinations of PC Hooftstraat, Van Baerlestraat, Cornelis Schuytstraat, and Jacob Obrechtstraat, where even the shop window displays are of museum quality. In the evenings, when the museums close and the daytrippers head home, the area becomes a quiet oasis of calm with a sophisticated and urbane tone.

Quiet location in the museum district yet within in easy reach of the centre and beyond. Trams every few minutes. Staff were friendly and super helpful with info about Amsterdam and also when we had a small medical issue that required a doctor. We were fortunate to be upgraded

Received an upgrade to a larger room free of charge and it was lovely, bright and clean. Only recommendation would be to add more pillows as my husband and I both prefer the bigger North American style pillows. Staff very wonderfully friendly and very helpful. Would stay again

Was our first time here (3 nights) and are pleasantly surprised. The room and the bathroom are quite spacious (compared to what I’ve seen before of AMS) and the TV had quite a few English channels. Location wise you’ve got The Van Gogh and other museums literally at a stones

"Choose comfort room"
"Our room overlooked the tree-lined street which was very quiet."
"Avoid room #10. Sold as a double, it is disconcertingly far, far too small for a couple."
"Our room on the 2nd floor has a small balcony which overlooks the quiet street."
"We had a view overlooking the street on the 1st floor. Easy to stick your nose out the window to see what the weather was like."
