The best thing about Hotel Prinsenhof is its location. It is right off the canal, steps from the tram, and in walking distance of great restaurants. The hotel itself is charming, offering more of a local flavor to the city. We stayed in a back room, which was spacious and clean. The shared bathrooms are a bit small and the...

This year will be the third time I have stayed at the Prinsehof and for the price it is easily the best stay in Amsterdam.I conceed that the front rooms with canal view are the best, although the back rooms are clean and comfortable too. The breakfast room is lovely and breakfast offers a good choice of serve yourself toast, cereal,...

This hotel features in a lot of guidebooks and after reading the non-biased reviews on tripadvisor we decided that it seemed worth a visit. My girlfriend and I were not disappointed. The room we were in (number 5) exceeded expectations as it was bigger than we expected and was well equipped with sink, wardrobe, 3 mirrors and very comfortable beds...

We really enjoyed our stay at the Prinsenhof and would stay there again. It's full of character, very 'european' in a great area of Amsterdam, right next to a tramline direct to the train station. The breakfast was lovely, very simple yet filling, and the house cat 'Prinse' greeted guests each morning. Our room was really nice, a good size...

Myself and my partner have stayed here 4 times now. Never fails to amaze me how cheap yet brilliant this hotel is and it is on the finest canal in town, lots going on. The rooms were basic as usual but we had room 3 which is really big compared to a couple of others we have stayed in. By...

We stayed there for a couple nights in August 2006. The price was very reasonable; the location was excellent (right on the tram stop); the breakfast (which was included in the price) was very good and filling (warm boiled eggs, decent ham and salami, good cheese, excellent coffee). The room was clean, the bathroom down the hallway was also clean,...

You don't travel europe over Easter without a reservation and at least 2 confirmation e-mails. I found Hotel Prinsenhof to be splendid. I stayed in Room 10 (in the attic) and absolutely loved it. Yes, it is a 1star hotel, yes, it is budget and yes, you do share a bathroom but then again, you only sleep there....Staff was freindly....well...

We were in Amsterdam during 4.4.-11.4.2006 and we should have had a room in Hotel Prinsenhof. When we finally got there, they said we don't have a reservation. They had sent me a confirmation of reservation and after it an e-mail that our reservation has been canceled. Unfortunately I didn't ever get that second e-mail. The man working there wasn't...

This is a great place to stay if you're looking for a budget European hotel with an authentic "old world" flavor. The room was clean, the staff was friendly, and the location was perfect and close to pretty much everything you could want. The only regret I have is that we didn't stay longer! Well, maybe next time...

Stayed at the Prisenhof over half-term and the kids loved it! It was literally 30 seconds from the number 4 tram stop. So near we walked past it first time. It overlooks the prinsengracht canal and even in the drab, coldness of February was very pretty. The door opened stable style and was attached to a rope so that it...
