We stayed at linden for 4 nights in total both while entering and exiting Amsterdam. It was a nice and cosy experience. It's a small hotel with basic facilities including toiletries, room cleaning and breakfast on additional payment. But the credit for the feeling of warmth and comfort one experiences goes to the hosts at reception Michael, Patrick and Gerrard....

It is a lovely hotel well situated just a few bus stops to Central station. The area is also OK. Rooms are small but well equipped, comfy bed, great shower all in good condition and clean. Staff is nice and has been very helpful, giving in information about transportation and printing documents. Only problem if you're a light sleeper, the...

We stayed here for 4 nights in October, the hotel was in a quiet location out of the main area of downtown. There were quite a few places to eat and drink near by but all the touristy stuff was at least a 15 minute walk (or more). We stayed in a small double room and man was it small,...

Lovely little hotel; extremely helpful staff. Good if you prefer a quiet location - some great local cafes and bars within a few minutes walk. My only reservation is that they do not have a 24-hour reception- this could be an issue if arriving late or are concerned about security..

Amsterdam was our last destination after travelling through CZ, DE and NL. We chose this hotel mainly because of location and as it wasn't quite as expensive as all the others (still not cheap though...) the room was a little bit too small for our liking but we managed. Everything seemed to be pretty new. Cleanliness was good, staff were...

This hotel is in a really good location, it's close to Anne frank and it's also in a nice area with nice restaurants and lovely cafes. It's very clean and modern. The rooms are a bit small but they are excellent to use for literally just sleeping in. The rooms are comfy and clean, the bath room was good and...

This was our room with lots of light just on the corner with 180° view of the neighbourhood. it's a triangle-shaped room. We particularly liked to watch inside the apartments on the other side of the canal and imagine their lives. What we've noticed in Amsterdam is that people don't mind not using curtains. You often see inside people's houses....

Room very small by Cdn & U.S, standards. We stayed for 2 nights & managed to live out of our suitcases. Hotel personnel were very obliging & more than pleasant. Breakfast was great. Worth the price. Hotel is 10 min walk to shops, but if you're from North America, looking at canals is a great way to spend some time....

I booked the Linden hotel for a two-night stay with my 13-year-old daughter and was not disappointed. It is in a lovely location in the Jordaan district with some of the best restaurants in town within a short walk. The nearest well known landmark is the Anne Frank house. It is a narrow tall building with rooms arranged over five...

Linden is great! Front desk is chirpy and helpful and perfect location. Rooms could be better tho. We stayed 4 nights, on top floor, and for 2 pax, it was definitely pushing it. Convenient choice. The weekend market is just outside of the front door, cute cafe across the road, few restaurants around, and 20 walking distance from AMS Centraal.

Staying in Jordaan

Neighbourhood Profile
Jordaan
One of Amsterdam’s most preferred outdoor markets and some of the city’s favorite watering holes are but two of the many reasons to save ample time for a stroll through this especially convivial warren of narrow streets with its unfair share of quirky shops and quality galleries. Historically a haven for the working class and emigrants, these days the Jordaan is better known as an enclave for artists and designers. As popular as the Jordaan is as a destination for locals and out-of-towners alike, the area never feels particularly touristy or overrun with outsiders. A highlight even for long-time Jordaan residents, be sure to accept any invitation to step within one of the area’s beloved courtyards or to have a sneak peek inside one of its many working studios.
