I had a great time at Vliegenbos and would recommend it as a great base for exploring Amsterdam. It is busy in summer with a bit of a squeeze to get in and motorhomes parked close together. It is a well organised business with polite, helpful and multilingual staff. There was even entertainment in the evenings in the cafe bar....

It was impossible to sleep. People were talking and shouting all night even at 3:00 or 4:00. Even though we did ask someone to do something, nobody asked them to stop talking so loud. We stayed there a couple of days and we did not sleep at all.

This is a fantastic place to stay when visiting Amsterdam! Really, really close to the city center but located in the woods you get the best of both worlds! Really and very help full staff! They offer a nice place to have breakfast, hamburgers and local beer.

In a word, AWESOME! Great facilities (Showers etc), friendly multi-lingual staff, peaceful wooded surroundings. A supermarket nearby for all the goods they don't keep in the camp shop. A bus stop, right at the entrance to the camp site, that gets you on a ferry to Centraal station in less than 20 minutes. The pitch we stayed on in our...

Great location. Very clean showers . Helpful friendly staff. Only issue was the entrance was quite narrow for our motorhome. The parking for motor homes is very compact but as a base to explore Amsterdam the location is brilliant with a shirt 5 minute cycle ride to the free 24 hour ferry which takes you right into central station

Everything was perfectly fine. Super friendly and helpful staff, proper cabin houses, location is perfect as well... You can rent a bike on the campsite for a really afordable price and it takes about 20 minutes to get to the Amsterdam Centraal.

Very near to the entrance of "down town Amsterdam", still with a feeling of an outdoor place in the woods. Be prepared to make a reservation in advance in high season, but it gives a good pay off! So, don't miss this opportunity for your stay in Amsterdam.

If you want to stay in Amsterdam with your tent, you should go to vliegenbos Camping. Clean and comfortable bathrooms, hidden corners to keep your privacy if you want and a good Service at the reception.
