This place is a complete disaster. Do not book it! It's old and falling apart and it's SO DIRTY! The bathrooms are disgusting, the rooms are gross enough that you can't even walk around wearing slippers or socks. The clean sheets smell like sweat and cigarettes. This place is disturbingly gross. The only good thing about it is the location....

I stayed here for 4 nights and you get what you pay for. Room was small but for us it was a place to sleep only in a prime location. Breakfast was basic continental that we managed to make once and it served it's purpose. Don't think I would stay here again but I would look in this area as...

I'm aware that you always get what you are paying for, but these hotel has been for far the worst I've ever experienced. It was a total nightmare since the second we opened the door. The worst service ever. The guys from the reception were incredibly rude. It wasn't clean, it was super old, the internet didn't work, animal noises...

We were given the room (more like cupboard) directly behind reception and you could hear every noise possible outside; people going up and down stairs, vending machines in use, doors slamming. The room had 3 beds, but they were near enough all pushed together and you couldn't walk around them. We both took a shower on our first morning, as...

Inexpensive, location is the best part as it is based in amsterdam city center. So all the places are easily accessible. Not recommended for a longer stay. Cleanliness is an issue. Too small room. If you find other cheaper option, then go for that.

Staying in Centrum

Neighbourhood Profile
Centrum
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.
