It was just a one night stay, we were fortunate enough to get a room upgrade, this room was great for it's price, renovated, very clean. Service personnel were very friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. I'd stay there again.

The hotel was dirty, cold, had no refreshments at all, the lights were terrible, the hotel only had one toilet roll in the toilet I would not recommend to stay here at all I checked out early and booked an early flight! Pictures defiantly did not match the reality of this hotel!

Close enough to the city to walk, great bar right next door, that also does great food. Staff very friendly, rooms were clean and warm which was great as it snowed one night we were there. Would stay again if I visit again.

The place is quiet and calm, good for someone who wants to stay away from crowding areas, and concentrate. at night you can have a very quiet sleep, as the hotel is far from the city center, although easy to locate.

The attic room has a rather small and a bit uncomfortable bathroom. The room was clean and quite large. The location is great, nice walk to the attractions and right next to the tram stop to central station.

It wasn't the greatest place. There was no one to help me with my bag up the stairs (i have a health problem). The bathroom door had a hole punched in it and the bathroom smelled badly of damp and mould. The bedding was clean and comfortable but the curtains were tired and didn't close properly. The staff on the...

The smallest reception I've ever seen, the elevator took its time to come, the card-key broke in half(!) and had to take the slow elevator down again to get a new one, no telephone in the room, these were the first impressions. At least the room was big and clean and with a nice window to the street. For 130...

Situated feet away from the tram stop and local cafes, makes this ideal, no hassle checking in and checking out and late checkout fee was offered for a small fee. We stayed in a double room with a private bathroom, was comfortable sleeping here and was really quiet at night so perfect for people who want to be close to...

Staying in Plantage & the East

Neighbourhood Profile
Plantage & the East
The eastern edge of central Amsterdam provides visitors with the chance to imagine the city that Rembrandt called home (and to tour his historic house) while shopping like the thriftiest of locals at Waterlooplein’s massive flea market, or even enjoying a craft beer beside the tallest wooden windmill in The Netherlands. This verdant, serene, and stately part of town is home to Artis Royal Zoo, one of Europe’s oldest (and still best kept) zoos, and Hortus Botanicus, one of the oldest botanical gardens in the world. It's also an ideal setting for the Dutch outpost of St Petersburg’s Hermitage.
