Checked in quickly, we had a quadruple room it was 4 single beds but looked like 2 and 2 which didnt matter to me as with family. Fridge and a safe in the room. We didnt use the safe and nothing got touched. A coffee machine in the room and large tv. A big shower which was lovely and usual fee toiletries and enough towels for the 4 of us. A hairdryer in the bathroom too.
The room was cleaned daily and fresh towels put out. The room was a little warm so we kept the window open all night as it's a quiet street it was okay to do that. It's a side street off the Van Gogh museum and a 15 minute walk to Dam square. We walked everywhere but there's a tram stop nearby. The only downside was the 10 euro breakfast. It's not a full English so not enough for my grown lads. So we ate out . Reception was also very helpful telling me a tram was cheaper than taxi when we did need one.

Just a few stops on the 2 or 12 tram from the centre of Amsterdam in a quieter ‘up market’ spot.
Suited us perfectly…3 friends that wanted to enjoy all the touristy stuff and madness of Amsterdam but equally wanted to experience some local bars and restaurants, and be able to sleep at night!!

We stayed for 5 nights in a triple room, which was really spacious and clean, and we all felt it was value for money.

It is as it says on the box, a 3 star hotel. So if you’re looking for luxury, a hotel bar, concierge, etc….it’s not the hotel for you.
But if you want a good budget hotel, in a nice neighbourhood with a tram on your doorstep, the museums across the road and want to have local life close by I’d recommend.

Wonderfully quiet, clean room, helpful staff and comfy bed. Easily accessible to places of interest by foot or tram. Bus stop for airport short walk away and buses are regular. We bought a three day public transport pass at Schiphol for €28 and we had our money’s worth plus more. We didn’t eat at the hotel but had 2 fantastic nights sleep. There is a supermarket nearby where we stocked up on snacks and drinks. Would definitely return to this hotel.

We booked for three nights over Easter weekend. We checked in and went to our room to find that we were by the lift - our worst nightmare! All the rooms were near the lift so we went with it. We live in a very quiet village and the hotel was as quiet as our home! We never heard the lift once. We only heard the shower in next door's room because we were awake. Room ideal for a few nights stay. Plenty of space for what you needed.
my only gripe was that as soon as you check in you have to make a decision on booking your breakfast for the reduced price of 10 euros, if not it is 12.50 euros. We booked for first morning, when we decided to have it for next two mornings it was the higher price so we changed our mind and went to the supermarket across the road and got breakfast from there - ideal as we had a fridge in the room. Suited us too as it was peaceful.
Room was kept very clean. All the staff we came across were polite and friendly.
The location was great as the bus from airport dropped us at the top of the road and all the museums were close by.
We would stay here again if in Amsterdam.

This hotel is located just a block off of three tram lines that connect from Amsterdam Centraal and the 397 bus from Schiphol Airport. We were able to check in early to our beautiful room on the first floor. This was a large room by European standards with a double bed, twin bed, mini fridge, coffee maker, and plenty of room to move around. The wall behind the beds had a Starry Night mural, which my 10 year loved. The a/c worked well, the shower had great water pressure, and we were located just a few blocks from the Rijksmuseum, Van Gogh Museum, and several restaurants. They offer breakfast for a fee, but we did not partake because there were other options nearby. The hotel also offers to arrange transportation for the windmills, the airport, and other sites.

For the price this hotel cannot be beaten.
The location was fantastic, right across the road from the van gogh museum and the tram stop into the city, the bus also stops next to the tram stop and will take you to and from the airport and there is a supermarket (albert heijn) about 5 minutes walk away.

Myself and my dad booked single bedrooms, rooms 105 and 305. There rooms were right next to the lift but I heard no noise when sleeping. The shower was fantastic, the room was to a great clean standard, the tv worked, the hotel provides shampoo, hand gel and shower gel it also provided small vanity kits and shower caps. There is a coffee machine and tea and coffee is provided.

The reception staff were always very friendly and said hi and by when we came and went.

The only negatives perhaps were that the curtain goes slightly into the bed area, but you won't notice this when asleep! And my elderly father fell out of his single bed as the bed moved a bit and the mattress isn't firmly down so it might be better to get a double bed if you toss and turn a lot in your sleep.

We had a really nice stay here in a 4-person room, two adults and two children (aged 9 & 7). The room was as expected, comfortable with good amenities for the type of hotel. It's not the cheapest place to stay, but the location is brilliant (right by all the museums), and it was very quiet at night both inside and outside (although the early morning bin lorries were quite a spectacle!). The staff were always very friendly, and the little gifts for our children on the last night were very much appreciated. A small but useful fridge, coffee maker (which could be used for teas, hot chocolates) and a good shower. The children also appreciated the playground equipment in the street outside!

We stayed in this hotel for the Rijksmuseum and Vermeer exhibition. It is a 3 star, rather small establishment situated centrally, virtually minutes away from Van Gogh Museum, Rijksmuseum and other museums in the vicinity. The room we had was nice, quiet, clean, had a high ceiling, the bed was comfortable and we slept well. There were tea/coffee making facilities, TV, WiFi, old hairdryer and the usual amenities. We didn’t like the stain on the nets in the window; blood, chocolate? Yuck! We booked the room with breakfast for 220E and I think it is not inexpensive. But the location is great. Breakfast was quite good, no frills though e.g. canned fruit. There is an underground Q-park “Museum” car-park nearby which we booked online at 37.5E for 24h. I fear to think what the prices are like in Summer.

Literally just a street away from Amsterdam’s museum quartier, the Hotel Van Gogh is a good base to visit the museums and also walking distance to other attractions. The Van Gogh decor is super cool throughout the hotel but the building is somewhat run down, which is too often the case with hostels. It is also definitely on the pricey side considering the quality of the stay. The single-use rooms do come with Nespresso machines, a much appreciated feature.

Hotel is located in a good area not too far from Leidesplein. Rooms were modern and smart with excellent shower and complimentary toiletries. Breakfast was available for additional €5 but lots of options nearby within 10 mins walk. A good option in Amsterdam for a modern budget hotel.
