The sweetest and cutest place in a very great location. Safe neighborhood, great hosts, cozy room, comfy bed, little treats and snack in the room which I loved! Highly recommend and will stay again when I go back!

A typical Amsterdam House, Tulip of Amsterdam only has 2 rooms to stay in, and both are up very narrow winding stairs. However this is typical of these old houses and adds to the authenticity. The door was somewhat hidden and we did walk past it the first time, but Chris met us at the door, welcomed us in and even carried my bag up to our room. The room itself is lovely, with exposed beams and you can imagine a Dutch family living here back in the 1600s. What really makes this stand out though is the host, Chris, who is so friendly, full of suggestions and recommendations of where to go and what to see. Our room was cleaned daily and the fridge restocked with fruit juice, Dutch beer and some snacks too. The location is right in the heart of the centrum so a very short walk to restaurants etc. I recommend Papa Carlos next door which did a lovely pizza when we were too footsore to wander any further for dinner.

The front door is hidden in the building, but when we get it, it is great. Big and cozy room, extremely friendly hosts, right in the middle of the old city, but yet quiet. If you don't mind steep stairs (common in Amsterdam), this is a place for you.

The location is definitely the best place in amsterdam. You reach it after taking 20 steps after getting off the metro. the rooms are large, spacious and very clean. I had a friendly welcome.very thoughtful treats available. If you are going to Amsterdam, I would definitely consider Tulip Of Amsterdam. Special thanks to Chris and David

I booked this place because I really couldn’t face another clinical hotel room with zero character. Tulip did not disappoint - it felt like a home away from home. The house itself is full of old world Dutch character complete with the narrow staircase. The room was so comfy with plenty of windows to let in fresh air and the sound of bells and the birds singing. I didn’t hear any noise from the street in the top room. The shower was hot at all times and everything was 100% clean and immaculate. The room also has a decent capsule coffee machine, fridge, microwave and plenty of snacks. I wish I could have stayed longer and I would come back to just enjoy the cafes and bars around the house. Thanks for having us - my teenage son was also overjoyed at the good WiFi 🙂🙂🙂🙂

This little hotel is awesome. Great location, lovely staff and very cosy. I stayed here as a solo traveller and it was perfect to be around the main attractions and walking distance to them. I will definitely be back!

A beautiful, clean and spacious room in the dead center of Amsterdam. Everything is either just outside the door or no more than 10 minutes walk. Add to this a very hospitable and nice owner. Very happy to have discovered it. Will definitely come back.

It was the first time I traveled alone and decided to make my own travel itinerary, and Tulip of Amsterdam B&B was the best and happiest choice. Very well located in a large traditional Dutch canal front house, I was close to all the interesting sights of Amsterdam and could do everything on foot. David and Chris, the owners are the best and most receptive people, they do everything to make you feel comfortable. Extra points for the dear ones to the lovely kittens who also inhabit the house and make the environment even more special. I would definitely return to Tulip of Amsterdam B&B and also recommend it to everyone I know.

The Tulip is a small B&B with two rooms, I think. The building is 300 years old and the spiral stairs are very narrow and steep, so don’t come if you have mobility problems. It is a little hard to find as it is just a door between the Gusto Italian Restaurant and the TEL fish shop. There is only a staff member around occasionally by arrangement. We loved the idea of having our own key and our own little place in Amsterdam as we were the only ones there. The room was clean and well thought out with a fridge and tea making facilities. The bathroom was very small, so one had to keep the door open when using the sink. Beds were re made every day. The main bedroom is quite large, but it maybe that the upper bedroom is smaller and not so comfortable. There is no view from the windows except the backs of other houses and it is a little noisy due to the restaurant next door. It is well situated on a pretty canal and cheap. A self service breakfast was set up ready and one could use the kitchen to do one’s own cooking, like AirBB. Note that guild books printed more than a few years ago won’t shown the new Metro that passes very close to NewMarket Station. We enjoyed it very much and would go again.

We recently spent three nights in the Tulip of Amsterdam and it was one of the very best B&Bs we have ever stayed in. David made us feel welcome from the first moment, giving us plenty of information and advice plus a helpful bespoke app. The room at the top of the house was beautifully designed to fit into all the quirky features and angles of this very old building. It was cosy, comfortable and very quiet. Lots of very thoughtful extras were provided and it is clear that David and his partner have invested a huge amount of thought and care in their business. The central location is fantastic too, close to many nice restaurants and bars, and within walking distance of many of the main sites of Amsterdam. Altogether a very charming and distinctive place to stay.
