Worst managed hotel I have ever visited! Went for 1 night, with 12 o'clock check out. Got woken by housekeeping at 10am & again disturbed at 11am. Holes big enough to fit 3 fingers in towels. Mattress never been turned: sunk in on one side. No "Do Not Disturb" sign or other hotel info in leaflet (it was empty). Had... More

Very bad hotel, the window of the bathroom couldn't be closed so during 3 days end of October it is cold and have the noise from the street. Nobody has solved my problem, I think there is a bad management in this hotel. And it isn't even cheap for the quality

We stayed here about three years back and were disappointed. Our room was small and stuffy. There was no shower cap provided in the bathroom, so I had difficulty in keeping my long hair dry when I showered. Our friend in another room found a used condom packet under her bed. Breakfast was not included in the price, and was... More

I would not be so annoyed if this hotel had a 2 or even a 3-star rating (at a pinch) but what is with 4-stars? tiny rooms no tea-coffee making facilities bad aircon system (either stifling hot or freezing cold) tiny bathroom extremely small double bed old and worn fittings no restaurant (aside from breakfast) there are a few plus... Although I can't list tons and tons of God awful attributes to this hotel, I also cannot list many (if any) good ones either. The room was clean enough not to be disgusted but generally, everything else is pretty poor. - the bed was an incredibly small single - light fitting was wonky and hanging off the ceiling - no... Hotel is a little rough around the edges, but overall, no disappointments. It's fairly close; < 2mi to the Museum square or the Ann Frank House, but out of the bustle of the city. Easy bike ride to/from all the attractions if you're up for all that entails. Decent restauraunts nearby. Staff is friendly and efficient. Great breakfast including eggs,... More

What was good? The Air Con and plenty of hot water. What didn't we like? Everything. Where to start? We paid €630 on a 'special deal' for 4 nights stay. The rooms were small. The decor was very worn and old, with a cigarette burn mark on one of the covers. My towel had a rip in it, which tore... More

I booked a standard room at this hotel for one night. I was given the worst room in the hotel, in a basement with no window and a very loud water pump machine which starts every time the bathroom is used. I went to the receptionist (the one employee in that hotel that evening and very unhelpful), and he said... More

This property has the potential to be a lovely intimate boutique hotel in a quiet location just a team ride from Dam square - The reality unfortunately is quiet the opposite. The rooms are VERY small and VERY basic, to the point where there is not even a kettle, the rooms are also dark and have an unpleasant smell about... More

Very small room with no cattle , water or any drink! Even in bathroom there is nothing except liquid soap and no rope. Place is excellent, very quite and many options arounds either restaurants and bars. If you like to spend most of your time out then it's good choice but there is nothing to do in this hotel. Didn't... More

Staying in De Pijp

Neighbourhood Profile
De Pijp
Bustling Albert Cuypstraat serves as the main drag through De Pijp and the location for Albert Cuyp Market, the largest and most famous of Amsterdam’s many outdoor markets. Beyond this sometimes-frantic thoroughfare, tiny lanes beckon urban explorers in search of the latest trends and hidden gems. Nearly half the residents living in De Pijp are foreigners and a good number of them are students. Here you'll find a multitude of ethnic restaurants, great cafes and bars, and a brilliant array of locally owned shops, all catering to a broad range of budgets and tastes.
