The best hotel I’ve stayed in for a while. The staff are lovely and always go out of their way to help. The rooms were amazing. I didn’t want to leave. It was spacious, clean and modern. We were on the 7th floor and on the end and we were shocked with how big the room was. The bathroom is a different level. The floor is heated and the shower is so powerful! This hotel has so many thoughtful gestures. Our rooms can be cleaned up to 4pm each day all of which can be requested via touch screen. The tram stop is right outside the hotel meaning easy access to all areas of Amsterdam. There is a Lidl across the canal from this hotel. There is no need to use taxis when based in this hotel. Be wise and use the local transport as it’s by far the best compared to other cities I’ve visited. Defiantly will be returning. 5*!!

Good location. Across the canal there are restaurants, less than 5 minutes away. In front of the hotel, the tram stop - 1 stop away from Sloterdijk station. We paid for breakfast and I was pleased with the food but I remember the last time I visited the hotel they had a lovely machine that made fresh orange juice on the spot. That one is gone unfortunately.

The rooms are very clean. They have hairdryer, iron, hot water, coffee machine, tea, A/C, TV, UBS charging ports (2x), a British power socket (1x) and a few European sockets. There is plenty of storage area. We chose a 'quiet' room and it was indeed very very quiet. The service is very nice, very polite and friendly. And they all speak English of course. But you can say that about the entire city. I love the people of Amsterdam!

Also all the photos reflect the real look of the rooms. Here you get what you see. I will visit again and will try to book this hotel. I'm very happy with it.

My girlfriend and I booked four days away in Amsterdam to explore the city and this modern hotel did not disappoint. With a tram stop just outside the hotel it was extremely easy to get in and out the city centre, with a main train/metro station only one stop away. We stayed in a twin room which was spacious and very clean, we got clean towels everyday and we even had a coffee machine in the room, bonus! All the staff were extremely polite and helpful with very good English, they were on hand to help with any queries. When we arrived our safe did not close, we reported this and by the time we came back to the room the issue had been resolved. This hotel is situated outside the city centre in a quiet location, we had seen some complaints about the clock outside however we didn't hear this once during our stay. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone!

I had a very pleasant stay at this hotel.
Rooms are large, at least 15% bigger than in any other 4 star I've visited around the world. They are also well decorated.
The hotel is leaning towards families and young crowds. No alcohol / drugs policy, be aware of this.
Location is great with a tram station just across the street that takes you to Amsterdam center in 15 min.

Service was good. Ask what you need and you'll have it in no time. Thank you for this.

Overall a very positive experience, I would recommend.

Me and a friend stayed in this hotel on a sightseeing trip to Amsterdam.
Walking in, you are greeted with very friendly, helpful staff m. The lobby area and bar area are sophisticated and clean, a great first impression.

Our room was very spacious, and well equipped, so if you’d forgotten something, they’d probably have it.

There’s a cleaning service which will clean your room/towels etc every day, which is always a nice touch.

The beds are ever so comfy, and the shower is absolutely lovely.

Although a 20/30 min tram ride out of the centre of Amsterdam, the tram journey is an excellent way to see the smaller streets and residential areas, and Molenwerf itself is lovely and quiet. Also very easy to get to and from the airport.

Would definitely use XO Hotels again

What a wonderful stay!
Hotel is spotless.
Our rooms were perfect, clean and tidy. Tea and coffee making facilities and a small fridge. Beds were comfortable and bedding spotless. The room has a safe, ironing board and iron also a hairdryer. There is an English plug socket and USB charging port. Large screen TV with multiple channels including BBC1 and other English channels.
We did not eat at the hotel but that was because we were out all day and just wanted a bit more flexibility!
The hotel is in a great location. Transport is on your door step. Easy access to the airport, city centre and other places. Lidl is just across the road and restaurants on your door step!
All staff at the hotel were helpful and very friendly nothing was to much trouble.
Reception area has vending machines that sell travel passes snacks and drinks.
I highly recommend this hotel and will definitely stay again. Thank you for a great stay !!

We arrived at the hotel at 9am and were told we could not check in till 3pm. We booked through love holidays and there was nothing stating that we would have to wait till 3pm to check in. Not ideal when you’ve been travelling and want to go to the room unpack and have a shower.

The pillows on the bed aren’t full sized pillows they are literally half a pillow with a full sized pillow case wrapped around it which is really uncomfy? I’ve never stayed anywhere with half a pillow so be prepared for a crap sleep and a stiff neck 😂

There was no option to buy food on site in the restaurant or drink at the bar as they were closed so the only option really is the vending machines. Every day a different one was out of order and unable to use.

They have a “free” luggage room you can keep your belongings in for when you arrive with no room to check in to and they stated it was safe/ secure and they gave us a ticket to get our luggage back. When we came back to finally check in and get our luggage we weren’t asked for our tickets and the staff just let us into the room by ourselves so we could have realistically took anyone’s luggage and anyone could have taken ours!

Check out time is 11am. So if you wanted to come to amsterdam for a short break and was hoping to have two days/ one night - realistically you wouldn’t be able to check in this hotel till 3pm and you would have to be out by 11am the next day. You wouldn’t even have a room for 24 hours in the hotel without paying extra.

Quite disappointing that we paid a fair amount of money to stay here and was in amsterdam for 6 hours before being able to check in, and then had to check out at 11am when we weren’t getting a transfer back to the airport until 7pm. So all in all, 14 hours of our holiday we were without a hotel room. Loveholidays customer service couldn’t help us and the hotel said we could have late check out for 10 euros an hour. Shame you are not told this before you book!

Would not stay here again

Pros:
Easy check in
Lovely staff
Clean
Our kids loved the cuddly toys they were given at check in
Promotion of drinking tap water- a sign explaining that Dutch tap water is safe. I would come back to the hotel for this. Thanks for not trashing the planet!
Nice location next to a beautiful park and easy transport
The breakfast was fabulous

Cons
We paid adult rate for the kids breakfasts so it worked out quite expensive
No bath
No proper restaurant on site though the downstairs area was really nice
No In- room recycling facilities

Overall, would definitely return without hesitation

Close to main train/bus/trolley station, about 15 min walk or less than 5 minute trolley ride. Staff was very nice and helpful. My credit card got declined several times on their automated check in and I was about to have a nervous breakdown. The lady at front desk helped me, first of all, to calm down and then used the card at her desk where it worked just fine. We checked in at 4 pm and fortunately for us our room wasn't ready and we got upgraded. Breakfast was delicious but if you don't eat much, like my daughter, its a bit too much/pricey. They allowed us to store our bags after our check out and held it until it was time for our bus at midnight, they also let us hang out in their lobby/computer area until it was time to go. Perfect location, clean, friendly staff.

Me and my wife had a wonderful 3nights stay here. The staff are very friendly and helpful, room was very clean, bathroom was spotless with a lovely large shower and they do a lovely hot chocolate in the bar area, they also have a nice smoking area outside that suited us both. The room had an empty fridge for you to use and plenty of tea and coffee. We had a buffet style breakfast one morning which was nice. Trams stop directly outside hotel so was very easy to get around and the best bit there's a Lidl just opposite which is amazing. We both highly recommend this hotel and we will be back very soon. If you come I would highly recommend getting a tram pass and this you can buy at the hotel in the vending machine, very simple.
So thank you to all the staff for such a wonderful experience ......
