What a surprise- a former state prison ! The first room I got was just TO MUCH like a prison- old tiles on floor and walls, so I changed to a much nicer with wood floor and wood panels- that also help the acoustic. Bath and toilet not on room was a big minus- and no mirror. But the service...

Quirky hotel with art instilations,a short tram ride away from the centre of Amsterdam The room we stayed in (415) was clean and decorated nice with large bed,the hotel is worth exploring,it used to be a prison

The hotel is located at the intersection of two tram lines which can quickly get you to either central station or the museum district - - but it is in a quiet part of the city. The room was very clean and tastefully (but simply) decorated in this historically interesting building. If we return to Amsterdam, we will definitely try...

for its history shown by fotos in the staircase, style and decoration especially of the hall downstairs. Our room however was average - with a good bed but small and with a strange smell. It was a 3 star, two other rooms of the same catgory were not better. Price altogether was fair, but breakfast was not included and with...

This hotel was booked at the last minute by us on Expedia after our first hotel turned out to be a disaster. I chose a 3-star room - wish I had seen all the different stars and what they meant. The staff here were exceptional informative and friendly, giving us tips on using the tramcar and places of interest to...

We really liked this hotel. A good price, very friendly staff everywhere. an incredibly interesting history. Location is a little away from the centre of Amsterdam but very good tram connections to both the central railway station (basically door to door) and through to the casino and park area. Our room was spacious (we had a five star room), but...

Lloyd Hotel is located in the Zeeburg neighborhood, a short tram ride from Central Station (take 26). The neighborhood is quiet and great for getting away from the hustle and bustle of Amsterdam. You can quietly stroll or bike the streets and admire the adventurous architecture. The hotel itself is a temple of design -- modern furniture and artful decorations....

The lloyd Hotel has a unique situation nearby the Ij, the tranquility of the Ij gives your stay another dimension than a typical city hotel. The location is very accesible by public transport. The hotel is unique in it's way and not comparable, a true experience!

A very cool place, a converted prison retaining many of the original features. A little out of the way, but that's no bad thing in busy Amsterdam!

I thoroughly enjoyed my one night stay in the hotel, due to the building and its history and location and veru friendly staff. I had chosen a 1 star room. Easybook suggested this room has a toilet and shared bathroom, but it turned out both toilet and bathroom are shared. A little disappointment but still okay.
