My friends and I spent a few days in this B&B and it was great. Irene is wonderful host and very helpful. Location is perfect, just few minutes from Museumplein and about 20 minutes easy walk to Dam square.

I spent few days in this bed and breakfast during my holiday in Amsterdam and I loved it especially for the great location in the De Pijp neighbourhood. The area is really nice and centric, close to the Museum area and very well connected to the city center by tram. The host Irene is very kind and helpful and she...

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Irene's B&B. There are the typical Dutch steep stairs to get one's suitcases up, but this should not deter from staying here. The location is excellent, very close to all the major sites, and bus routes. We took Bus 197 from the airport for 5 Euros and the trip took about 45 minutes. The...

I love Amsterdam, and I really love this B&B. I've stayed there twice and I'd recommend it to anyone. Irene, who owns and runs it and lives in the flat downstairs, is so friendly and helpful. The rooms – there are three, but only two currently in use – are gorgeously (and uniquely!) decorated, and have a fabulous view of...

The comfort and warmth of this B&B is entirely matched by the hospitality and amiable demeanor of Irene, the hostess. A wonderfully preserved old Dutch house, at a very convenient location (about 10-15 tram minutes from the Central Station), and a room with an authentically welcoming ambiance. A kitchen well equipped and a welcoming feel which the Dutch are masters...

A cosy, friendly B&B located between the De Pijp district and the museum quarter. The Rijksmuseum is just a short stroll away as is the Heineken Experience and the Albert Cuypstraat market. The city centre is just a 10 minute tram ride away. The B&B just has a couple of rooms so has a quiet but friendly atmosphere. As with...

A friend of mine and i stayed in this B&B during May. The location was really good, you could walk almost everywhere, or at least we did. The owner of the place is a very kind and nice person, she gave us a map and told us what to visit. To arrive to the room we had to walk steep...

In September my hubby and I stayed again in this lovely B&B for a long weekend. Hosts Irene & Ebo are very welcoming (you feel at home in an instant) and very helpful with tips and tricks where to go and how and when (important!) to go there. Room is very cosy and clean, good bed with wonderful pillows. Nice...

Irene and Art are Amazing hosts. The room is spacious with a very nice view of canal activity. The location is ideal for an easy walk to the local street market and many Amsterdam attractions. I will recommend this.

Where shall I start , the very warm welcome of Irene. The great room with excellent beds. The kitchen which you can use to make your own breakfast. The location is perfect , just around the corner of the van Gogh museum and Rijksmuseum. But the most impressive was the host Irene , she made our stay unforgettable. She knew...

Staying in De Pijp

Neighbourhood Profile
De Pijp
Bustling Albert Cuypstraat serves as the main drag through De Pijp and the location for Albert Cuyp Market, the largest and most famous of Amsterdam’s many outdoor markets. Beyond this sometimes-frantic thoroughfare, tiny lanes beckon urban explorers in search of the latest trends and hidden gems. Nearly half the residents living in De Pijp are foreigners and a good number of them are students. Here you'll find a multitude of ethnic restaurants, great cafes and bars, and a brilliant array of locally owned shops, all catering to a broad range of budgets and tastes.
