Characterised by both its serene surroundings and the bustle of the city, Park Plaza Vondelpark, Amsterdam is the perfect habitat for city travellers. Nestled in Amsterdam's most exclusive neighbourhood Oud-Zuid, just steps from Vondelpark, the vibrant 'Little Paris' area, Het Concertgebouw, and the city's main highlights such as Museum Square, where Amsterdam's most famous museums can be found. The newly renovated hotel offers 102 modern designed rooms - of which some have a private balcony -, two elegant event spaces, a private garden, an on-site fitness centre, and the Italian restaurant and bar TOZI. The restaurant has a Venetian inspired sharing - or cicchetti - concept and offers a variety of dishes for both adults and little ones. The bar at TOZI also offers Italian wines, bubbles, classic Italian cocktails such as barrel-aged Negroni, and a range of craft liquors and spirits.

Nestled in behind Vondel Park, the hotel was lovely and in a great location. The interiors were beautifully designed and well appointed. The room was bigger than expected and was very modern. The only negative was that in the morning I could hear other guests shutting their doors - it woke me up.

We had stayed in this hotel last year when it was being refurbished and found it to be perfect so having booked the Concertgebouw for a Sunday Concert decided to use it again. We booked a Superior Double overlooking the garden. We arrived soaking wet after a day of cycling in pouring rain and were greeted with smiles and the offer of towels and tea to drink. There is private space to park the bikes and were personally shown to our room.
The decor is really lovely - soothing and calm colours with beautiful bed linen and comfortable mattress.
The shower is perfect and a choice of lighting for all times of the day which is really good.
I like the fact that you can reject housekeeping for environmental reasons (we only stayed one night so not applicable) but I think soap dispensers by the shower and sink would be better than small bars of soap and gel bottles. Very pleased that glasses were there for water.
For the standard of room perhaps the coffee choice could be better with biscuits available.
We especially like the location as it quiet and peaceful and 2 mins from the Vondelpark and 10 to the Concertgebouw on foot.

Located in an elite residential area near a large park but also near the city centre, the hotel area is quiet, making for a good nights rest.
Reception was kind enough to provide an extra blanket for our bed and also extra daily cleaning of our room was agreed to at no extra charge.
Bike rental was rather expensive so look towards bike rental somewhere else if you want.
Overall it was more than me and my friends expected for a very competitive price.

My us and and I met another couple to explore Amsterdam together. The hotel was a great choice because the location is tranquil but super convenient for exploring museums, historical center, shops and restaurants, and of course the beiautful park. rooms were pretty small but very well-appointed and beds were very comfy. overall design was nice though they could do without the artificial plants and flowers. They cheapened the overall decor. the chairs in the bar were not very comfortable. The service in the bar was very very friendly and i liked how they immediately gave you a cool glass of water when u sat down. Also liked the cold water dispenser in lobby. mini muffins were not so great though. But they were free. Equipment in fitness center was very cool-loved the leather and wooden hand weights.

Park Plaza Vondelpark is a very good choice if you like to be away from the city centre yet within easy reach. It’s located in a very upmarket neighbourhood surrounded by beautiful mansions with the park on your doorstep and “Little Paris” nearby. Trams to the centre are a fairly short walk away and bicycles are available for hire at the hotel for Euro 16/day.

Our room was a Deluxe King, however, the bed is actually queen size, not king. The room is small, no frills but neat and clean with an attractive bathroom. Our room had ample cupboard space but not all King rooms do. The view from our room, facing the entrance of the hotel, was very pleasant, but there was only one window which opened slightly so ventilation - if you don’t want to use air-conditioning - is not very good.

Breakfasts could definitely be more interesting and varied with better quality coffee. (Ask for coffee prepared in the Bar, it’s better!) Having a restaurant on the premises is convenient especially on cold rainy nights although there isn’t always availability. The food and service at Tozi are good, a bit pricey. Try Frizzanteria around the corner it’s excellent.

Other restaurants we enjoyed within easy reach were Trattoria Il Re di Puglia and De Pizzabakkers.

All in all we were happy with our choice especially the location.

If you are looking for a restful stay outside the usual urban hustle and bustle, this hotel may be perfect for your needs. Located next to Amsterdam's beautiful Vondelpark, this hotel provides clean, comfortable rooms with relatively easy access to good restaurants and cafes nearby. The hotel's own restaurant serves a fairly decent breakfast buffet and the staff are ver friendly and helpful

We had a 4 night stay and upgraded to the junior suite with terrace (€250-€280 per night b&b).

The room was fantastic but maid service was only by request or day 3 (we stayed Wed-Sun and on SATURDAY we were offered maid service which was pointless considering we were checking out next morning) . The bathroom quickly turned into a kitchen for washing cups, glasses and rubbish..

I asked for our coffee pods to be replenished.. waiter arrived at the room and we were handed 4 pods but no milk/cream or sugar .. so we just bought it from the bar.

Also a few hidden costs:

Breakfast was included in the rate and on check in we were offered as room service. I requested this to be told it would cost additional 30 euros! So we give it a miss!

Complimentary water was included in the room description.. but the fridge was empty and when I requested a btle of water I was charged 6 euros.

My husband ordered prosecco with snacks on arrival.. (30 euros).. prosecco arrived but no snacks, so ended up on first night trying to find local shop for water and snacks as room service had finished.

Late checkout was requested and approved but on arrival we were told it was cancelled.

When we checked our final bill.. we had been charged for 4 bottles of prosecco and what looked like a late checkout charge (which was cancelled).

The prosecco charges were removed and we just gave up on anything else by that stage..

Also note taxi from airport to hotel was 40 euros. On way back the taxi organised by the hotel was 50 euros.

Next time we would look for an apartment closer to the city centre ..

We spent three nights at the Park Plaza Vondelpark in October 2023 and were very pleased with our stay. The room was large by European standards, well appointed, and very comfortable. The bathroom also was well appointed and had a good shower with a complete enclosure (as opposed to the half enclosures common in Europe). The thermostat was a little challenging, but we were able to figure it out. Housekeeping was excellent. The hotel provided two complimentary bottles of water and there is a water refilling station in the restaurant. Breakfast was good, with a varied selection. The front desk staff was particularly helpful. We discovered that on our departure date the streets around the hotel would be closed for the Amsterdam Marathon. A front desk person (whose name I wish I had gotten) worked with me to figure out a route for us to walk out of the closed zone and rendezvous with the car we had arranged.

Big plus: a quiet neighborhood. Our sleep was undisturbed by street noise.

Our only real complaint: the wall between the bathroom and the bedroom is translucent. Stylish, but when someone gets up in the night to use the bathroom and turns on the light in there, the wall lights up brightly enough to disturb anyone still asleep. Also, one morning when the hotel was full we had to wait a few minutes in the bar (which was not open) for a table in the restaurant. In that situation, the hotel should consider just letting guests bring their buffet breakfast into the bar.

My partner and I stayed for three nights and were really impressed and happy with the stay. The staff were accommodating, polite and came across as very sincere. They seemed more than happy to help out with any of our questions or requests.

The room was spacious, super clean and stocked every day with sparking/still water in the fridge, the room service was friendly, the gym was great for a quick workout, and it's only a few minutes to the nearest tram. It takes 20 minutes to get to centraal station via the tram and it's a really nice journey. We also particularly liked how easily taxis could both find the hotel and pull up right outside the entrance too.

Thanks team, we will certainly be back!

My son lives in Amsterdam so I came to visit him and wanted a hotel that was not too far from where he lives and was also quiet. I've stayed at other hotels and Amsterdam can be a very noisy city. The whole experience was delightful it's a lovely hotel in a gorgeous location. I didn't have the breakfast because I met with my son, but refunds were completed straight away at Reception. I did order room service and thought the menu could have been better and the food was delicious, but very small portion for the price is my only criticism.
