Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The hotel is very nice, nestled in the waterfront and very close to the main station, literally only 1 stop from the station. This makes it very easy to explore amsterdam city or neighbouring location. Staffs are very welcoming and helpful, especially Yuga and Han who helped us woth early check in so we can refresh ourselves after 14 hrs flight. They also provided us with room that suit our preference, additionally it is clean, modern, very comfortable and the bathroom floor is heated. This is really a nice hotel to stay and very recommended for both leisure and business. The wifi is great, lobby is nice and it is also close to cruise port. Thank you for all staffs that make our stay memorable, especially Yuga and Han

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights during a transition between Brussels and flying home. We had to wait in line for over 30 minutes to check in. There were staff handing out Dixie cups of chocolate, but it didn't make up for the prolonged wait. The pillows were honestly the latest pillows I've ever laid on and there were only 2 pillows for our whole king bed. I called down for more twice and they never came. The floors in the bathroom were heated which was a nice touch in the cloudy, rainy weather. It was a perfectly average hotel, but I can't say the comfort was there. Location wise, the hotel has a nice view of the water, and you can see the ferries coming and going from Central Station. It is a minimum of 15 minutes walking to reach the ring of the city, and at least 10 minutes to the train station which although not the worst, felt long in the cold, windy rain. The hotel is right next to the cruise port, so I imagine in the warmer months it may be a much more busy area.

One of the most comfortable hotels we have ever stayed in. The bed was amazing and the linen and pillows were to die for. We were upgraded on arrival and the room was fantastic with an amazing view. You couldn't ask for more, we will without doubt stay here again. It is a little bit off the beaten track but you do have trams just over the road should you find it difficult to walk far. It was a 5* experience

Very nice accommodations and location and amazing breakfast bar . Easy to get on public transportation from this location . The view was wondering looking at the river and city . Only issue we had was our converter didn’t work and the hotel was only able to give one to us because so many ppl needed one .

We chose this hotel because of it's good location & it was one of the few we found where breakfast was included. When we arrived we were greeted by a very friendly, professional and helpful receptionist. She actually moved us to a room with a better view, when she established it was our first stay in Amsterdam. The room itself was big,(we thought), with a huge bed, a sofa the length of the room, table, coffee machine, HUGE bathroom with a large walk-in shower and plenty of storage. It was warm and welcoming. The view was good, especially at night with the lights & the fab sunrise in the morning. We had no noise problem at all. The breakfast was UNBELIEVABLE!. Fruit, cereals, cheese, scrambled egg, bacon, mushrooms, tomato etc oh, and they will cook an omelette on the spot with a filling of your choice. Pastries, pancakes and very nice chunky slices of bread for toasting. It's quite safe to say we ate our fill and this carried us through to the late afternoon. Absolutely delicious. Checking out was quick and simple. ALL the members of staff we interacted with were friendly and interested. We will definitely stay here again if we return to Amsterdam and would highly recommend this hotel ☺️

This hotel has 20 floors, with rooms from floor 3 to 20 (if I'm not wrong). Other floors are sauna+fitness+massage, executive lounge where we enjoyed breakfast, reception and an elegant bar which keeps open till late hours providing great beverages. Rooms are quite nice, as you can expect from and upper class hotel. About 6 mins on foot from central station.

The staff at this hotel went above and beyond to make our stay the best in Europe. The hotel is located adjacent to the cruise terminal, across the street from a trolley stop, and there are always taxis lined up outside for convenience.

We booked the Movenpick for our Winter weekend away due to competitive pricing and it’s location to the station. It is a modern building next to the cruise terminal and music hall on the other side, just a 10 minute or so walk from the station. we were given a room on the 17th floor with views away from the city centre, a different perspective, but lots of activity to see from that height.it’s location is a little bit away from the old part of the city as you have to walk back towards the station and under a railway bridge to get to the old bit, but there is a tram stop right opposite if walking isn’t your thing.. There is also a bike rental shop right next door if you fancy pedalling your way round the city. You don’t however get the noise that you do tend to get from city centre hotels, so a peaceful nights sleep is almost guaranteed. Our room was spacious with plenty of storage and lighting and the bathroom was a good size with a big, walk in shower. The lifts whisk you up and down the floors in a flash. The breakfast was included in our room rate and was particularly good with a huge selection of different foods to suit all tastes, a great way to start the day! We also had occasion to eat there in the evening and again, we found the food to be of very good quality and along with the drinks, was reasonably priced. All the staff we met were very polite and professional but I do want to mention Thomas and Jurriann from the bar, both were very helpful to us and Jurriann gave us a lot of really useful information and is obviously passionate about his country which is good to see! I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel, we always enjoy coming to Amsterdam and this trip was particularly pleasant .
