Too small and hot, shower came out like kettle water randomly burning you, electrics were not so good, but location was good and the stairs are so narrow and winding it's like doing a workout especially when your on the 5th lot made us not want to go in.

The worst thing about this hotel is the staffs! I walked in to make my booking and I didn't feel welcomed at all. The guy wasn't friendly and felt annoyed when I asked several questions to him. During check in, I met a different staff who's also not welcoming at all. You just got that cold feeling from them when... More

very dirty hotel, do not compromise on location, filthy food had cockroahes in plate, arrogant and bad staff. They have power outages and a loud generator that will take the heart out of your body, My belongings were stolen also and the staff did nothing

I can say that this place is not a hotel. Because it has just poor hostel standart. It was dirty and really expensive. Breakfast was horrible. Only positive thing is location but there are a lots of hotels around there better than this one. I don't advise to anyone this terrible Jimmy Hotel.

the hotel was chosen only because of the location - near to the centraal station. the room was pretty dirty, the bathroom was poor, and the bed was horrible - had bed bugs. The service was okay minus, and the price was way higher for what you're getting. The room also doesn't contains a/c or fridge. Wouldn't recommend staying in... More

It was a dirty hotel and expensive, even for the weekend price. Furthermore, No towels or any other amenities in the room. No phones in the room, you have to come to the reception each time if you need anything. In addition, floors of the room were sticky too and the common toilets I.e one for every 4/5 rooms was... Firstly I want to say I really do not know why this hotel has bad reviews. We had a really good experience. When booking, our main priority was location and compared to the other places around this was reasonable priced so I didn't let the bad reviews put me off. Upon arrival we were allowed to check in 3 hours... More

I'd wandered upon this hotel while late at night looking for a place to sleep after landed from Berlin. I thought I got a pretty reasonable price for a room with queen size bed plus free breakfast @ 55 Euro. Who knows after check into the hotel, only realized that the bathroom is outside the room and the room given... More

Neighbourhood Profile
Centrum
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.
