Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The position is very good to visit the city by foot or bike, and also public transportation is close as well as Vondelpark for a special ride. Overall, the room was big enough, while the bathroom was a bit small. It was not perfectly clean, some drawers were dusty and moquette was not at its best, but I would recommend for the quality-price deal in a city as Amsterdam!

Noisy at night, and then when the army of cleaners start knocking on your door at 9am, then start having the loudest conversations outside the room. Radiators click all night. On the whole a poor sleeping experience, but was ok otherwise. Got told by hotels.com that the tax was £19 at the hotel, I had to pay £24.

+ great location (right next to vondelpark and a few walking minutes away from the van gogh museum and leidsplein) so you don‘t necessarily need a tram-ticket + The room was small but there was enough space for a city trip for two. + We were on Floor -1 and still had a window with a view to a private garden, which was really nice. + The bed is really comfortable and big enough for two people. + the room got cleaned everyday and we got fresh towels daily too. + Check-in and check-out is really easy and fast. + there‘s a coffeemachine in the reception where you can get unlimited free coffee the whole day - you could hear everyone on the hallway walking by the room, which was a little bit annoying. Overall a good hotel for a good price. You should not expect a high class hotelroom but its nice for a 2-3 city trip, would recommend it! :)

Good location and a cozy room. Thats about as far as the good reviews go. Not worth the money. You could hear everyone and their mother through the incredibly thin walls and they would start construction early in the morning. Staff unhelpful

The quality compared to the price, coupled with a quiet, safe location in the Museum Quarter, makes this an absolute bargain. Clean room, comfortable bed and underfloor heating in the bathroom. Don’t be put off by the basement rooms, mine looked onto a private garden. It’s a gem I’ll be staying at again.

Not a pleasant experience. The location of the hotel is good, with great walking distance from the city centre. However, the quality of the hotel isn’t great. The hotel was expensive for one night and I expected at least a clean room! The bathroom was dirty and the mirror had stains on it. We booked a big double room thinking it was a better room - wrong. You can hear EVERYTHING from the corridor - people walking, talking, coughing. It’s ridiculous. The staff at reception aren’t really helpful either. Also, what hotel doesn’t have a bar?? We couldn’t buy water from the vending machine in reception as it only accepted cash. There was nowhere to buy a bottle of water. I wouldn’t waste my money. Book somewhere else!

Very nice hotel in the heart of Amsterdam - very accessible by public transport and close to the shops. Clean as well and maintained daily and has the option of breakfast if you'd like it. Internet was a little bit unreliable and slow.

Really disappointed with the hotel. I have stayed previously and it was great. However this time was less so. I paid for a large double room and the room I had last time was much nicer and I only had a small! I was situated on floor 2, where every man and his dog must of been staying as we could hear every person walk (run) past. The TV did not work and the window would not close fully and there was no heating in the room. The hotel itself is in a great location, walking distance to all your tourist destinations and centre. If you get a good room and far away from the traffic of other people staying then you are good. If not however, it feels like more of a hostel with hotel pricing!

The hotel is well located in the center near to different tramway lines. The room was well heated. Breakfast not tested. The hairdryer was defective and the towels ripped. The room was not too calm as some works were ongoing in the hotel.
