Stylish contemporary decor, a cosy fire in the bar/lobby, super-comfy beds and the nicest, most helpful staff ever make this a great place to stay in Amsterdam ! It's close to the museum district and is easy to walk everywhere but there are tram stops right outside and in the square which are a great way of getting around. Tickets...

Hotel V is great value for money. We paid 94 euros for a standard double room for one night, including breakfast (fee paid in advance and non-refundable). The staff were really friendly and helpful (I can't understand the reivews that claim the staff were unhelpful or rude... I can only guess that it was the guests who were awkward and...

Where do I start, the welcome was really unwelcoming ...we arrived at 20 past 1 to be told instantly that rooms were available to then be told to fill a form provide ID, and pay a surcharge of 12EUR all perfectly normal, in the space of 5 minutes we were then informed that actually no rooms were available and that...

The room was great for a quick change and the bed was very comfy. Rooms wernt noisy and the breakfast was a great cold choice. The staff were so helpful and gave us lots of great tips. The only reason iv not rated this hotel as a 5 is the lack of drink making facilities in the room. The lobby...

Lovely hotel, with a lovely fireplace as you walk into the lobby. The room was nice, I expected it to be a bit bigger as it was a superior room but was comfortable. As our room was located in another building next to the main hotel, we were on the groud floor and at the edge of the building, making...

Had an overnight as part of a planned layover enroute to Zürich. Easy transport links to Schipol, train access to canal district. Modern and clean with comfortable rooms (albeit, on the smaller side) If you tend to spend a lot of time in your room, spend the money and stay at a Starwood hotel. If you like funky little boutiques...

We stayed here for four nights in late December. The hotel has great transport links to the city centre. There's a tram stop directly outside the front door which takes you to wherever you need to be. However what really let the hotel down for us was the breakfast - what a shambles! It's served in the main bar/lounge area...

Thank you for taking the time to review your stay, and sorry to hear that you weren't enthusiastic about the breakfast. Indeed, if everyone comes to the breakfast room at the same time, it can cause a bit of a bottle-neck, but the staff works hard and quick the whole morning to continually refresh the buffet (so the hard-boiled eggs...

Hotel was good for what we needed. The standard double room was tiny but it is well kept and clean. We got to the hotel via the train from Amsterdam airport to Amsterdam Central, then got a taxi to the hotel but you could take the tram 4 to the hotel which stops just outside hotel v. Staff ask for...

Thanks for taking the time to review your stay! Indeed, the issue of leaving the keys at the hotel is one of security as well as convenience for our guests. If lost, they are expensive to replace, so we try to avoid that extra charge for guests should they lose the key. Plus, we just also like to meet our...

The photos have been very cleverly edited as the tiny rooms are more hostel like with little more than a bed and at over £100 a night there are many other hotels in the area much nicer for the same price. Our room was beyond freezing and we had to be moved twice before finding one with decent heat. We...

Thank you for leaving a review about your stay at hotel V Frederiksplein. Unfortunately there is not much we can do about the size of our rooms or the lift, but we do apologise that the room was cold and you had to move. We will pass on the rest of your points to the respective departments (breakfast and housekeeping),...
