Located in the vibrant historic city centre of Haarlem you will find the intimate B&B Malts Hotel. Our informal Bed and Breakfast Hotel is located in a beautiful monumental building. (Recently renovated) The hotel offers different rooms from small/ twin room to standard to a large room for 3 persons. Typical to a monumental building, all rooms have their own set up and character. All 14 rooms have a private ensuite bathroom with shower, sink and toilet. Furthermore all rooms have digital TV/ Radio. Free fast WIFI is available throughout the whole hotel. We spent 4 nights at this wonderful hotel and it was the perfect start to our vacation. We arrived very jet lagged and were warmly welcomed by Henk and Annemarie. Henk provided us with a great overview of Haarlem and assisted us in getting our bags up to our room. The hotel is perfectly situated, close to the main attractions and lots of excellent restaurants. Our room was spotlessly clean and had huge windows (with excellent soundproofing). Breakfast was amazing with lots of choices and great coffee. The breakfast room is the perfect space to relax in after a long day of sightseeing (we appreciated the well-stocked honour bar for a cold drink). The B&B Hotel Malts is a terrific place to stay when in Haarlem or the Netherlands in general. The rooms are comfortable. The location is convenient to the town center, the local attractions and the railway and bus stations. The breakfast is sumptuous--breads, yogurt, eggs, meats, cheeses, coffee, tea, espresso, and freshly squeezed orange juice. And there's coffee, tea, other beverages and cookies for that snack you need when you return in the afternoon. Henk and Annemarie are the consumate hosts--friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and just fun to be around. One drawback--there's no elevator/lift, but if you can handle some stairs, you'll have a wonderful time.

I enjoyed the Malts hotel so much that I didn't want to leave . It was my favourite hotel during my 2 weeks stay in the Netherlands. Its located very close to the bus and train station and easy to find if arriving by bus from the airport. The room was quiet, clean comfortable and I felt very safe on my own. The bathroom was clean and large with all amenities.I borrowed a bike and rode one morning before breakfast around the national forest and to the beach. The included breakfast was exceptional and I could make myself a tea of coffee in the evening and relax in the breakfast room . My partner and I have just returned from a fabulous 5 night stay at Hotel Malts. Our hosts , Anne Marie and Henk were very friendly,attentive and helpful. Check in was hassle free as we arrived late evening. Our room was spotless ,warm,cosy,quiet and the beds were super comfy!. The food selection at breakfast was perfect, delicious great variety ( freshly made yogurt compote was especially good). The ambience and chilled atmosphere set us up for the day. The hotel is a 9 min walk from the train station and situated in a lovely area of the town, surrounded by some cool cafes restaurants, and quirky shops. There are plenty of nice walks . 20 mins on the bus takes you to the beautiful Bloemendaal beach. We will definitely be returning in the near future.

Henk and Annemarie were wonderful hosts in Haarlem. The room was large, bathroom was modern, breakfast was wonderful with so much to choose from. The B&B is about 2 blocks from the town square which is delightful. Saint Bavos Cathedral and the Corrie TenBoom House were highlights of the area and so close to where we stayed. The only drawback was the stairs. Even though we had originally chosen a room that happened to be another flight up, Annemarie knew I would have a problem with the extra stairs, so she suggested a lovely room on the same floor as the breakfast area. We were delighted with our stay at Malts Hotel and delighted with Haarlem.

An amazing b&b! Super hosting by Henk and Annemarie. Myself and my dad felt very at home. Beautiful spacious room and delicious Dutch breakfast with gorgeous freshly squeezed orange juice. So central. Haarlem is a beautiful place to stay - better than Amsterdam and yet only 15 minute train to Amsterdam!

Stayed at Malts for a week and loved it. Had a very spacious, comfortable room (#9; top floor.) Henk and Annmarie love the city and are filled with suggestions and excellent recommendations. Great breakfast. I’ve got nothing but good things to say!

Henk & Annemarie were the most amazing hosts to their quaint and cozy B&B. I researched many different places to stay initially decided on a large hotel and was lucky enough to find this amazing place. We rented the room with the large terrace which I highly recommend. It is room number three. Every day they had a homemade breakfast with fresh squeezed juice as well as other amenities. We will definitely come back here as well as recommend it to our friends and family. You cannot go wrong with this place.

We traveled to The Netherlands and Austria to celebrate our 50th Wedding Anniversary (really 51 years due to Covid cancellation). But our 8 days at the B&B Malts in Haarlem was the highlight of our trip and well worth the rescheduling of our European trip. We stayed in both a "small room" and a "large room" and were more than pleased with them both. Even though our rooms were above a main street and we kept the windows open due to warm weather it was quiet and peaceful. The rooms were spotless and equipped with basics. But our 5+ star rating is due to the hospitality and kindness of the proprietors, Henk & Annemarie. The breakfast and open kitchen with coffee and an honor bar were comfortable and made each day very special. They also provided storage for extra luggage…
