See you in Court!

The Court Hotel garners high marks for its cleanliness, with guests often noting the immaculate condition of rooms and modern bathrooms. Its ambiance is also well-regarded, with the hotel's unique decor and spacious bathrooms frequently mentioned. The staff's professionalism and friendliness are a highlight, contributing to the hotel's reputation for excellent service.

Detailed Reviews
A well located hotel with a friendly team making it an ideal base to explore the wonderful city of Utrecht. The buffet breakfast has a good selection at a reasonable price. We had a deluxe room at the rear, it was clean, quiet and well appointed. A possible addition in the fully tiled bathroom would be a grab rail in the shower as the floor may be a problem for older customers.
Check out was easy and as a group of four with luggage we made use of the taxi deal to get to the airport, marginally more than the train.
Will use the hotel again

The hotel has a/c even if it’s not mentioned on the site. Personnel is extremely efficient and efficient. All of them very kind (especially at the reception desk and at the breakfast lounge). They accommodate for allergies and other food intolerances problems. The room are big and very roomy (for Dutch standards), the bed is comfortable, facilities very cleaned.
It’s right next to the cathedral (Dom).
They have a private parking 7 min away walking but it is difficult to find by car. Our advice: go first to the hotel, deposit your bags and then ask them to tell you how to get from there to the parking.
Breakfast was excellent. Quality/price ratio very, very good (even for August).
No personnel wore masks (nobody in NL does for now, only in busses), but they tried to keep distances and had hydrogel by the hand.
Windows were wide open so air circulated well in the breakfast area and they had a terrace if you preferred to eat outside.
A day visit to Castle De Haar (Haarzuilens) is certainly worth it. Huge castle very well reconstructed/preserved.
An excellent hotel with extremely friendly personnel. I would certainly come back to when in Utrecht.

The location could not be any better - just strolling out of the hotel gets brings you to the center of town and you can enjoy all Utrecht has to offer. The hotel: the room was extremely large with a high ceiling and very nicely furnished. The service at the front desk was excellent: friendly, competent and very helpful. The hotel offers bike rentals, has good food in house and a coffee/tee/snack selection is available in the room.

If you're in Utrecht for a hen/stag weekend, or a gig, or you can sleep through an air raid, then I would fully recommend this hotel. If you were blessed with the gift of hearing, I'd think twice.
This is a well decorated hotel with clean, well equipped rooms and high ceilings. Plus the staff are friendly. But you will struggle to get to sleep before midnight on a Friday and Saturday night as the hotel often has functions with loud thumping music in the basement, where the sound and heavy bass travels up through the hotel - put it this way, we were on floor 3 and we could still hear it. I would have definitely scored this hotel a 4, maybe a 5, but the management really needs to so something about the noise - and I'm not the only person to point this out judging by the reviews. Paying guests come to hotels to sleep...so far as I'm aware, this is the main purpose of a hotel.
I did ask reception staff whether they could move us to a high room away from the noise ...to be told that we were already at the highest floor 😑. The reception staff were very friendly and professional but I was taken aback when I was offered ear plugs. If you have to hand ear plugs out to your guests, in a hotel, then you should really think twice about having a party in the basement.
MESSAGE TO MANAGEMENT - Please please please invest some money in sound proofing and insulation of the basement so guests do not suffer.

Nice modern room with very good bed. Only the bathroom is small for the toilet and toilet. Breakfast is good with various choice of fish, fruit, bread, juices etc. Housekeeping however is very poor, they do only switch the sheets when you ask for it and vacuum the floor was not done ones during our 4 days stayed. Unfortunately the rooms are very noisy.
Friendly personel at the desk and restaurant.

I called the hotel before making my reservation and was told they had a parking; after making the reservation the hotel wrote to me explaining that yes they had a parking but only for one day and that I would have to park for 1 of the 2 nights either on the road or on a public parking nearby. At arrival I discovered that the hotel parking was narrow hence I decided to keep the car in the public parking for 2 days (total 80€).
The first night there was a party in the basement of the hotel: very noisy until 1am.
The day we left I asked to check out at 12 as against the standard 11am; I was granted the extension but then my electronic access to the room was disable and I had to go to reception desk where the same girl that had granted the extension told me that it was normal as the standard check out is at 11; I was given a key.
Overall I found the place noisy, impersonal and sloppy.

Beautiful and modern hotel within walking distance of the city. We could park our car 3 minutes away for 30 euros (from 3:00 PM to 11:00 AM. The staff is friendly. The room was nice and had a good soft bed. Some minor hygiene attention needed here and there (slight mold streaks in the shower and silverfish in room).

Recently stayed for 2 nights as we were attending a large event at the Jaarsberg, about 15-20 minutes walk.
Hotel is lovely, close to the city centre which is lovely at the weekend with a good market and shopping centre.
The room was really nice. We were asked on check in if we were attending the big event, I guess they wanted to put everyone together which is fine. I declined breakfast because I said we would be back late and wanted to sleep in, so agreed with the receptionist that we would skip a housekeeping visit. However the next morning at 9.30am we were woken loudly by housekeeping banging loudly on everyone's doors and shouting to wake them up. After about half an hour of this we gave up and got up. She was shouting so loudly she may as well have been in the room with us which was really annoying as we were due another late night and specifically had planned to sleep after a long day of travel and night out.
That aside it's a lovely hotel in a lovely city but some more consideration would be nice! All the other staff were extremely friendly.

Overrated, and not worth 150/night
The image is misleading. The entry is somewhere to the side of the building. Checking in was cumbersome (it took 5 min. waiting); The hotel shares the entry with a restaurant and bar. Since there is not always someone at the desk it is possible that people other than hotel guest reach the hotel part. The safe in the room is not bolted to the wall; you just can take it out of the closet. There is no minibar in the room (for me a first)
Our rooms were at the front of the hotel, opposite another bar. Sound isolation of the rooms was far from sufficient (and the party went on all night).
Finally, the heater didn't work in our room. They would "repair it", and it would take some time, but the temperature would go from 16 -> 22. The temperature was virtually unchanged 12 hours later.
Given all this it's a 3 star at best; even that may be to much

The Court Hotel is located in an old court house building in the center of Utrecht. It is a short walk from the railway station and an even shorter one from Dom Square, which is essentially the center of the city. The interior is modern and well-maintained. The decor reflects the court house theme, with photos of judges in the rooms and some steampunk paintings of justice in the restaurant.
Our room was larger than most we have stayed in. Two people can move around without getting in each other's way. There is ample storage for your clothing and plenty of electrical outlets to recharge your devices. The bathroom is equipped with a shower. There is a heated towel rack, but it never seemed to heat. Other than that, all of the plumbing worked fine.
We visited at the end of an unusually hot spell of weather, and we had trouble with the air conditioning. The room was uncomfortably hot for a few days, until the weather turned. We mentioned this to the staff, but we did not notice any improvement. Fortunately, the windows could be opened. This helped some.
Breakfast is served in the restaurant. For the first few days, there was a buffet typical of hotel breakfasts. After that, they switched to a menu system where you indicated what you wanted and they brought it to your table. Both arrangements were ample, with a variety of foods for different tastes. We never ate in the restaurant for other meals.
The view from our room was nothing special, just the street. Neither ugly nor scenic.
The staff seemed friendly. The seemed a bit "corporate perky," as if they had been trained to appear friendly and smiling all the time. We never had any difficulties with them.
