Detailed Reviews
This was a great place to stay. The Eye Hotel is very centrally located, but is exceptionally clean, quiet and cool in both senses of the word. It is a quirky, but very stylish hotel and our room was excellent. The beds were very comfortable, the bathroom really well designed with a brilliant power shower, the Wi-Fi signal strong and reliable and a good-sized flatscreen TV with a good range of channels. We slept really well: it was quiet, a good temperature and very comfortable. Breakfast was very well organised. You book a time in advance and to ensure social distancing a range of breads and pastries are brought to you. Yogurt and fruit are also provided. Coffee and juice are also good. The hotel is within easy walking distance of Utrecht's town centre shops, bars and attractions. The only real drawback was that there isn't much parking space by the hotel and we had to pay to park in a carpark 5-10 minutes walk from the hotel. Otherwise this was an excellent experience.

The room was spacious and very well-designed. It had big windows (since the room had high-ceilings) and overlooked a patio so we had a nice view! The way it was configured was also a plus (with the shower separate from the toilet and double-sinks in the room). The only reason why we do not give them full points is that for some odd reason they cleaned the room but did not made the bed which was a bit strange. The breakfast was tasty and enough to fill us up which is always good (croissants, breads, muffins, cheese, ham, jam, peanut butter, juice, yoghurt and coffee and tea so just what anyone needs!). The team at the reception desk (and especially a young woman named Tessa) were incredibly helpful. She gave us great tips for restaurants and managed to get us reservations even though most places were booked (we highly recommend Sea Salt Saloon and Ruby Rose which were both superb!). The actual city is breathtaking and offers great shopping and a friendly and quaint atmosphere so we will most definitely visit Utrecht again, and without a doubt, we will stay at the Eye Hotel.

we use a large Room in this very nice and cosy Hotel. Excellent Staff, very warm welcome.
Close to the city center. You also can rent bikes for € 14,00 per day, which you should do.
Also, if you coming by car, close by is a carpark. We stay from Saturday to monday and payed € 18,00, which i find a good price.

The rooms are very clean and cozy, the beds comfortable (for my tastes), and the staff always friendly and accommodating. This was my 3rd stay. However 2 issues remain: the very limited breakfast (for the price) and the consistently broken Nespresso machine in every room I've been in. Not usually an issue for me, but when I work in Utrecht in the hotel room, it'd be nice to drink some coffee conveniently located beside me at the desk.

The Eye Hotel combines modern design with the classic history of the building. Everything is very clean and new, the room service is on point, our room was very cozy and special (including a view of the cathedral through the skylight on the 2nd floor). The reception staff are also very friendly, helpful, give tips (for example restaurant recommendations), are available around the clock to answer questions and you can chat very nicely with them :-)
Breakfast is served in a separate breakfast room, which is also very stylishly furnished. You are asked beforehand about any intolerances and the breakfast is freshly prepared and brought to your table nicely arranged on a wooden tray. Coffee and other hot drinks as well as orange juice and water flavored with mint and lemon are also available. Every guest can help themselves to the coffee machine during their stay.
The hotel is very centrally located in the student district of Utrecht, there are numerous restaurants, cafés and bars all around. There are also shops in the immediate vicinity. The main train station is about 20 minutes away on foot. The cathedral, the canals and several larger and smaller shopping streets are also within walking distance.
The top service, the beautiful rooms and the good location make the Eye Hotel our first port of call when we travel to Utrecht again. We felt very comfortable!!

The rooms are nicely decorated and there are enough sockets to charge electrical devices. Clean, spacious, soft beds. Location is fantastic, you are on a side street so the noise is little to none, but you are located in the city center and close to parks as well.
Breakfast was okay, they have some lactosefree options as well, not a great variety of things to choose from, but fresh and sufficient.
Also very safe to travel as a woman alone, nice area and 24 hours reception.

Nice hotel, close to the centre and just 15 minutes walking from the central train station. The staff was polite, but checkin-check out took time because they did not know all the processes. Amazing breakfast!!! But staff was slow and sometimes special requests were not taken into account.

As for the hotel, I really liked it because it must be said that it is very nice located in a period structure that has kept every room intact, including the stairwell and internal courtyard; the continental breakfast is served in a very nice room/cafeteria. As far as the stay is concerned, I can't say I'm equally satisfied: I stayed 2 nights and slept very little because loud music, people talking loudly and shouting came from the street or from an internal courtyard (I didn't understand). until 4 the first night and until 1 the second. At the time of check out I pointed this out to the staff, at that point only to understand how all this could happen under the windows of a well-paid hotel, but I was told that they didn't realize it and that no one had reported it. 'episode..... Meh!!!!

It was ok. Some mold in the shower and there were cobwebs on the window frames and ceiling. At night a socket light remained on. Beds were clean and were pleasant. Shampoo and shower gel were delicious the breakfast was a bit pricey, but very tasty.

Very good value for the price. I had some problems with my booking when arriving at the hotel, because my name got somehow mix up with a name on my address, but the staff was very helpful. Some rooms on the ground floor are a bit dark, but everything was very modern and very nicely decored.
