Sheets, towels and pillar are extra, toilets are relatively dirty (the WC lack some pieces (WC seats), in the rooms there are no spaces to recharge your mobile phone and you have to plugh your charger in a multiple socket that is in the common spaces. Internet doesnt work properly. You cannot pay using credit card, they havent released a...

The rooms are huge and can take a whole lot of people - I saw that someone said 40-something beds, that's probably accurate. Everything's on one floor, so if you've got problems with stairs, this is a good choice. I dislike the fact that you have to pay for sheets separately, but what can you do. Showers are mixed, and...

The only advantage in this hostel is low price, everything else there is just bad. I spent there one week. Toilets and showers are so messy and dirty. Wifi doesn't work. The floor is sticky. Room smells so bad, windows are covered there, so you can barely breath and sockets in the room are almost at the ceiling (!?). Last...

There is one bedroom for all of the people staying in the hostel so I slept amongst a symphony of snoring people. They also must not have air conditioning as it was too warm to sleep but there was nothing on to cool the room down. There were also bugs flying and buzzing around the room. Wifi usually doesn't work...

Hostel De Mafkees is located in an up and coming part of Rotterdam a mere five minute walk from centraal station. The rooms are large, nice and clean, the reception desk has friendly staff always ready to give advice and directions. Free breakfast is provided, ping pong, nice lounge and a small bar are all found at the reception desk....

Slept in this hostel one night. Already at arrival, staff was very unfriendly and didn't want to help us when one of our jackets was stolen in the hostel. Rooms are with 48 people where families with children sleep in the same room as drunk people that come back in the middle of the night. The kitchen wasn't cleaned for...

Together with 5 friends we come from Belgium to take part of the real life gaming event "Prison Escape". Because the entry ticket for this event and the transportation costs to get here started to add up we looked for the cheapest option around to sleep a night in Rotterdam the day before the event. In this hostel you can...

We found the place easily and seemed pretty chill for a younger crowd. The common area was really close to the rooms, so we heard talking and music well into the night. The beds weren't that comfortable, though my wife and I were able to push them together and make a double bed. The staff was nice and the common...

Ended up in Rotterdam, had to stay overnight to wait for a ride. It was convenient that there was a hostel located very close to the main station. The staff was nice enough. However I would not choose to ever have to spend more than a couple sleeping hours in this hostel. It wasn't filthy but it wasn't clean. The...

we slept here for 2 nights, the first night was noisy at night because people snoring, but the next day they were gone, so a little bit quiet. And the first day breakfast was okay-normal, the second day breakfast was bad, the person forgot to took the bread out of the freezer, so it was still cold-ice, and their toaster...
