We recently spent four nights here and were very pleased with our choice. The hotel is located right in the centre of the largely traffic free old city so perfect for walking around and seeing sights. It is an old building that has been extensively updated. We asked for a quiet room and found ourselves located in the middle of the hotel on the third floor. No view but very quiet indeed. The Superior room was large with very comfortable super king bed, three chairs, desk, wardrobe, TV and fridge. BBC 1 and 2 obtainable on TV. Decor is austere with little in way of wall decoration and no rugs on a hard floor. Bathroom was good size with very large bath. Separate shower has completely open front so care had to be taken that water did not go everywhere. Staff were incredibly helpful including helping us to pack up some kitchen knives to send back to the UK as we doubted they would get through Eurostar security! Downstairs there is a large, attractively designed restaurant where food could be obtained all day. It is apparently run by a separate company and is open to non-hotel guests but provides breakfast for the hotel. We ate there each morning and had one evening meal and one lunch. All very good. We would certainly return to the Hotel Corona and recommend it to those wishing to be in the heart of the city but not wanting to pay silly prices.

This hotel is very well located, being within easy walking distance to many museums, shops and restaurants. The front desk staff are friendly and very helpful. However, the hotel’s restaurant is very overpriced for a poor breakfast buffet (15 Euros) or a single croissant/juice/coffee (9 Euros). You can get much better and cheaper breakfast food nearby.

Dear Ray, We would like to start off by thanking you for your recent stay at Boutique Hotel Corona, and for taking the time to share your experiences with us. As you can imagine it is of our utmost importance to learn more from the insights from our guests, so we can continue to improve our service and facilities when neccessary. We are grateful for your compliments regarding our central location in the city center of The Hague. We hope our location has enabled you to explore and enjoy the city as much as possible. Moreover, we appreciate your kind words regarding our Front Office team. We all work with a great amount of passion for hospitality to ensure that all guests are provided with an unforgettable experience. Nonetheless we would like to apologize for the breakfast service. Our breakfast buffet consists of daily fresh and even homemade products. Since we would like to guarantee the high quality of the products, we do not offer an intercontinental buffet for instance but select the products according to their quality. We will inform the restaurant manager about your findings, so we can keep a close eye on the quality of our breakfast service, so thank you for your honesty and openness. Thank you again for your review, and we are looking forward to welcoming you again soon! With hospitable regards, Martine Kuzee

The room was very comfortable, over-looking the front and square. Unfortunately there was some late music noise which was a little disturbing, otherwise a very comfortable room and bathroom, well decorated and serviced. Breakfast adequate; didn't try the hotel restaurant for dinner.

Dear Mr. Howlett, Thank you very much for your recent stay at Boutique Hotel Corona, and for the wonderful review you have written for us. It has been a great pleasure to have been able to welcome you as our guest in the hotel, and it has been delighting to read your compliments regarding the room and breakfast. We are happy to read that you have been able to enjoy our recently renovated Superior room, with a beautiful view over the Buitenhof square. Nonetheless it is disappointing to read that you experienced nuisance from the Havana bar across the square. Luckily the hotel is located in one of the calmest areas of the city center when it comes to the weekends and surrounding bars, however we are not always able to influence the nuisance from the Havana bar besides the extra isolation we have realised while renovating the hotelrooms. Thank you again for your review, and we are looking forward to welcoming you during your next visit to The Hague. With kind regards, Martine Kuzee

Perfect location on Buitenhof, close to Mauritshuis, Escher, Binnenhof and the other sights. Also close to the shops. Rooms were clean, comfortable and we had a good view across Buitenhof. Breakfast is included and is excellent. All the Reception staff were knowledgeable, enthusiastic and helpful. They answered every question with a smile. Especially they recommended a different great place to eat for each night of our three-night stay, including BIT steakhouse for our second night. Thank you

Just spent 2 nights at this lovely hotel.

The staff at reception were very welcoming and friendly, and we were able to check in at about 12pm which was an unexpected bonus.

We had a comfort room which was on level -1, room 002. We weren't expecting to get any natural light so were pleasantly surprised to have windows and some light. Our room looked out onto a wall but this wasn't a problem.

The room was big enough and tastefully decorated with a large comfy bed, free room safe and an iron/ironing board. There was a kettle and a pod coffee maker, also 2 free bottles of water.

Bathroom was an OK size and very well lit for doing make-up etc.

The location of the hotel is excellent, very close to shops, cafes, bars and restaurants. We had arrived by train at Den Haag HS station which was an easy 20 minute walk.

We spent 2 nights at this hotel after our bike/barge trip ended in Amsterdam (a short train ride away), and really liked it. It is a quaint, historic little hotel on a nice square just off the main road and tramline (unfortunately with some construction going on in the square – but luckily not too loud during our stay in early July), a short walk from the train station, the Mauritshuis museum, Escher museum, the Hofvijver and Binnenhof/palace buildings, and old town walking streets. We had a comfortable and quiet room on the back/side of the hotel (no view out the window, but that was ok), with a good bed, desk, minibar fridge, and coffee maker. There is a nice restaurant and bar downstairs, with seating outside, where we enjoyed wine and a very good “surf and turf” dinner our last night.
We used their bikes one day for a great day of cycling in a big loop (with some suggestions from the very helpful woman at Reception) north to Wassenaar, on to Leiden, out to the beach at Scheveningen, then to Madurodam (worth a visit! Hadn’t been since I was a kid – loved it), by the Peace Palace, and finally south to Delft, where we had a drink on the large main square before riding back to The Hague in time for wine and dinner. We did not have the hotel’s breakfast, but found many options nearby to have coffee and breakfast on our way to the train station.
As elsewhere in Belgium and the Netherlands on this trip, we found a lot of construction and road works going on everywhere, which was a bit of a pain when touring/cycling around town, with scaffolding covering many places, roads dug up and loud construction noises ongoing. But we enjoyed our stay, and would stay at Boutique Corona (which was also good value, we thought, for such a 4+ star hotel) again. Thank you!

Stayed in a comfort room city view. A small but very modern room with a new bathroom. The room had a coffeemaker and a water boiler and a nice view overlooking the square. The location is next to shopping, restaurants, museums, and the Parliament. You can walk from Den Haag Central station through the city, which takes approx 20 min.
It's a nice hotel, but the walls are a bit thin when other guests are coming through the hall way or are in the room next to you.

Greeted by a very friendly and helpful receptionist. The AC was on in the room, so it was nice and cool after a long day travelling.
The room is not big, but it was spotlessly clean. The bed was the most comfortable I’ve slept in. The bathroom was like new. There is a fridge and a safe in the room. Coffee and tea making facility. Bottled water replenished daily.
There wasn’t a sound to be heard. Even in the morning, when the housekeeping staff were on the corridor.
All the staff whom we encountered over the three days were excellent.
The location is perfect, close to shopping streets and the Mauritshuis is across the street.
The No. 1 tram stops nearby, going direct to the seaside at Scheveningen and to Delft.
We had breakfast at Palmette nearby each morning. Nice staff and great croissants.
The 385 bus from the central station goes out to the Louwman Museum. A great collection of cars.
Next time we are in The Hague we will stay at the Corona.
