The Premier Suites Plus Antwerp is only about six minutes walk from the central railway station and is easy to find. In the diamond/jewellery area with a lot of restaurants, cafes and bars close to it and also only ten minutes walk from the main shopping area and maybe fifteen to the main plaza/old town. Reception is on the 7th floor of the building. Despite arriving before normal check-in time the receptionist had a room ready within about ten minutes, an executive room which featured an oven, hob, sink, coffee machine, cutlery and crockery as well as washing liquid and washing machine powder. The bed was comfortable as were the pillows, the lighting was good if not great, the wifi worked well, the air-conditioning was reasonable, the room also featured USB drives each side of the bed, a table and chairs and the room was bigger than the majority of double rooms that you find in most European hotels. The shower was a bit temperamental and rather strange as you had to stand in the bath with an old fashioned type of shower fitting and no anti-slip bathmat or similar, but it sufficed. The usual hotel style shampoo and body wash is provided. The staff were very pleasant throughout. On the 7th floor there is also a small laundry room with three washing machines and three tumble dryers however when we were there, it got very busy and there was a queue to be able to use them depending on what time of the day you tried! Also on the 7th floor there is a pool table, the breakfast dining area, a bar with draught and bottle beers/wine an outdoor terrace with tables, chairs and umbrellas to shade the sun.....very pleasant sitting outside in the evenings and the beer was no more expensive than the nearby bars and restaurants. Also on the 7th floor is a coffee machine which guests are free to use and a variety of books in various languages that guests can take to read. Breakfast consisted of the usual continental variety. Yoghurt, cereals, breads, rolls, pastries, croissants, fruit juice, coffee machine, bacon, sausages, cold meats, cheeses etc. Maybe not the biggest selection but it was tasty and well-presented. Overall, an enjoyable experience and we thought it was god value for money. Would we stay again if in Antwerp? Yes. …
