If traveling to Antwerp, you can't go wrong staying with Irene and Henri. Gracious, intelligent and welcoming, they offered excellent guidance on restaurants, sights, maneuvering through Antwerp, etc. My wife & I truly enjoyed getting to know them. The room was clean, comfortable and quiet and the breakfast was satisfying. This is an excellent bed & breakfast, not a 4-star... More

My husband and I stayed for the weekend in the penthouse suite. Rik and Irene are wonderful hosts; you feel like you are staying with family. We have stayed at many b&b's in Europe, but this is the most comfortable bed that we have had away from home and the softest towels. The breakfast includes fresh squeezed orange juice, coffee... It's true, like other people wrote, there are many stairs BUT, once you talk with Erik and Irene, you forget about them! They're very sweet, kind and helpful. They gave us bikes even for the kids (8-9 years old). Not to say about the space of the family room, the cleaness of the house and the home made breakfast: fresh... More

We had a wonderful time with superb hosts and excellent breakfasts. Be aware of the many narrow stairs and no ensuite, so 3 flights of stairs down to the shower and toilet but this was more than made up for with the views and penthouse terrace. Irene and Rik happily shared their detailed knowledge of the lovely city of Antwerp.... More

During a one week's jouney across Belgium we stayed for one night at Iréne and Rik's place and spent one day in Antwerp. It turned out to be the best accomodation we had in that whole week. The house is a real MOMA and you get the best possible guidance from the artist himself. Our hosts, two wonderful people, offered... More

On a cycling weekend with 2 friends we stayed for 2 nights in AAAWA. Our room comfortably accommodated 3, was clean well appointed with a delightful terrace where we were able to have a pre-dinner snifter or 2. The breakfast was first rate and varied. The real treat was however the welcome of our hosts Irene and Rik who looked... More

This is why people stay in B&Bs instead of hotels. You sometimes find a real gem like AAAWA. We had a great apartment with a multi-level roof terrace that was just what we needed after our day in the saddle. We were able to leave the bikes inside and out of the weather. Irene and Rik really welcomed us into... More

We have recently returned from a cycle tour of France, Belgium and Holland. We spent our fourth night of the tour in this lovely b&b where we received a very warm welcome from its attentive hosts. Irene and Rik made sure we arrived safely after a long day cycling and made time to chat to us and ensure that we... More
