We found this hotel to be very lovely. Very friendly, helpful staff! Particularly great was the location! Easy access to some of the highlights of the city! Very lovely breakfast room, with a good breakfast. Only recommendation would be to offer more variety. All 3 days breakfasts were identical, not a complaint, merely a suggestion. Very happy with this choice! Recommend!

This hotel has a lot of good points. First a nice lobby with a stylish and lively bar. It really gives a good impression when you enter the hotel. The second good point is the breakfast.
Although not very rich in terms of choice for cooked meet and eggs, there is a huge variety of everything else. And the price (Euro 11.50 ) compensate for this marginal lack of choice.
I have been in similar Hotel in Brussels and this is the cheapest Breakfast of them all, without any major compromise in quality and choice.
For me the selection was very good, however if you like a very large cooked breakfast you may want to take into consideration other hotels.
The service was very good and the level of cleanness excellent.
The only minus was about the room size and equipment , hence the 4 stars. Otherwise this will be a 5 stars.
The room was very small, OK for a solo traveler but 2 people would struggle in there.
Yes it was new and nicely decorated but unfortunately the complete lack of facilities in the room makes the stay much less comfortable. A tea/coffee facility does not cost a fortune a gives much to the host, also the lack of a proper chair creates problems if you have to work. Overall I recommend the hotel.

We have stayed at the One Motel chain before so we knew what to expect , it is clean and serviced every day , the pillows are brilliant but if you are British you have to get used to the 2 duvet system they use having said that I slept fine. The rooms are small and they is not much room to hang clothes or put suitcases but for a short stay it i fine.. The hotel is only 5-10 mins from the city centre and easy to walk there .

I've staed at Motel One hotels before, and they're all built to a similar model - good design, nice lobbies, budget-focused rooms.

The rooms at Motel One Brussels are generously described as "bijoux" but are just a little too small to be practical if you're here on a business visit. There is quite literally no place to open a suitcase. The "desk" is about 40x60cm, and is across the room from the nearest outlet. Luckily the entire room is only about 2.5m wide, so you can stretch the cable over to the bed.

The stool for the desk is about 40cm high. Between the desk and the chair, it feels a little bit like you're sitting at your kids' kindergarten class. Fine if you just need 10 minutes to check an email, but really uncomfortable if you need to get some work done before the next day.

Otherwise, the hotel delivers against its promises: clean and modern, pleasant design, practical and conveniently located with friendly staff. If you're looking for a clean bed for the night, this place is ideal. For anything more than sleeping, maybe look for a place that's a little bigger.

This is not the hotel for you if you want to sleep.
The hotel itself is very clean and modern.
The hotel staff are very nice and all speak very
good English.
The hotel is situated 1.2m off of the busiest roads
In Brussels. Not only does the traffic roar up and down
all night long, it is also the main tram route. The trams
run for most of the night, stopping only for a couple of
hours. There is a nightclub less than 100m away which
blasts out music until the early hours. When the clientele
leave, they scream and shout as well as kicking cans along
the road as they go passed. We asked to be moved to the
other side of the hotel but we’re told that they were fully booked
which was clearly a lie as we could see all of the empty rooms from
the lobby windows. The two days with little to no sleep spoilt
the complete break. I would not stay at this hotel again, even
if it was free.

This is my third stay in a Motel One hotel. The hotel is superbly located just 5 minutes from the old town and close to a beautiful park. Rooms are stylish and ours had a view into a gorgeous central courtyard. Staff are very friendly. However every time I stay, the hotel is beset by IT problems. This time the system did not recognise that I was an adult staying in a twin room with a child (who stays free) and tried to charge me for 2 adults. It took more than half an hour for the check in staff to sort it out, during which time a huge queue had built up behind me. During the time I was there, check-in seemed to take a long time for every guest, leading to long waits upon arrival. Apart from that, my stay was wonderful. The lounge area is a great place to relax and watch the world go by. Would highly recommend the buffet breakfast at this Motel One (and if you join their free club, you get a free breakfast voucher.)

Large, modern hotel, with private parking very centrally located in the middle of Brussels. Very clean and very comfortable rooms, with everything you need, although their standard rooms are on the small size, so there limited storage place wouldn’t make it a good option for a long stay. We were only there for one night, so it was perfect for us and we couldn’t fault it at all. Great front desk service, good breakfast, which can be taken in their inner courtyard if the weather permits, and unbelievably good value for money (less than 100 Eur per night right in the center of Brussels) mean that we won’t hesitate to return.

Modern and clean with a comfy bed and well located - a short walk from the train or to the city centre.
Loved the shower and nice towels. The bar and lounge looked good although I didn’t use them. The buffet breakfast seemed popular but seemed pricey so I didn’t book that either- Paul across the road is convenient and good if you’re happy with a French style breakfast.

Things that could be better: stop people smoking on the front steps; add a side table by bed, a sun filter or blind for privacy, double glazing for street facing rooms, a face cloth, fridge and a sink plug that works.

Stayed last weekend for 1 night.

It was my second stay here, the reason I booked the Motel One again was because they offer a 3pm Sunday checkout if you book direct as a Motel One member (I was going to a party so I wanted to sleep in). In the end I felt that I needed to 'beg for the late checkout', the best they could do was 2pm. A bit disappointed (especially knowing that hotels are usually quiet empty on Sunday nights).

Check in wasn't particularly welcoming (as opposed to last time when I was blown away by the friendly service).

Public spaces are great, the inner courtyard garden is a nice place to relax, just like the bar and lobby.

Rooms are fairly basic, the bed comfort is 'ok' but not exceptional. I don't like the German style '2 separate small duvets on a double bed'. Bathrooms are compact but very clean and stylish. My tv didn't work (room 217). A coffee maker would have been nice but it's not available.

The location is good, 8min walk from the central station and 12min walk from the Grand Place area (but uphill on the way back to the hotel...)

I would return if the price is right, hoping that my late checkout request will be granted without too much fuss next time (like it was on my first stay).

Our stay at Motel One Brussels started with a mistake by the reception clerk leading to a double charge on breakfast fees (fixed only thanks to a manager, as the clerk did not understand the problem).
From there, it only got worse: our room, though it was a supposedly larger "Special One" was extremely small: the door to the bathroom did not open fully because it hit our bed, the closet was really minimal and space was poorly organized throughout the room and the bathroom.
It was two single beds put together with separate sheets, rather than one double bed, as requested.
Although it was a modern hotel, floors were entirely made of carpet, which discoloration and stains all over, in the room as well as in the common areas.
Several areas of the hotel had a strange and unpleasant smell (seemed like food gone bad), and we were not overall impressed with the cleanliness.
Breakfast was really not worth the price: the fruit salad was sour and almost rotting (we left it in the plate), most food options were low-industrial quality vegetarian or vegan, with no hot food being served; the water tasted like chlorine. The breakfast staff was rude and unhelpful (they asked for our room number 3 times within just a few minutes, and removed plates from our table while we were still eating).
We took our dog on the trip with us, and the pet policy of this hotel was really unclear (not posted anywhere or shared by the reception staff upon check-in); we only later found out that the dog could only stay on certain floors .
Wi-Fi connection was really discontinuous and almost impossible to use.
The few positives: the atmosphere at the bar and in the private garden, the location (which is central, but mind the drunk and homeless people wandering outside the hotel at night time), and the parking garage directly underneath.
We would not return to this hotel, nor do we recommend it to others.
